SCTV Season 3, Episode 18. Sketches include Cooking with Marcello, Crazy Crafts with Molly Earl and Bob, The Alpha Channel, and $Dialing for Dollar$ with Walter Cronkite.
I remember this so clearly watching back in 86...& On WPEC good times getting home late from the club...good safe times for sure ....SCTV superior talent to SNL
TV was very scared of Pay TV on cable? Isn't cable TV pay TV? Don't you have to pay to buy a TV to watch TV? It's not like you can cobble together a television like you can a crystal radio set, using your own dental work.
Rick Moranis singing as Gordon Lightfoot is amazing
Gordon singing Hermans Hermits is genius, Bill Tooke?????
"I’ll stick my own pin in my own face" is one of the funniest SCTV lines ever.
I remember the old cable tv ad channels at the beginning. God that takes me back.
Its anthropoligy, Joe Mendoza. "New pay TV" hahaha It was new then.
Crazy crafts with Molly is hilarious
Molly's guest is some guy she met in a bar last night!
Joe Flaherty's impersonation of Alan Alda (14:26) is remarkable-from the hospital greens/hairstyle/voice inflection everything!!!

SCTV gave us 8 geniuses, SNL has given us dozens from Dan Aykroyd to Jan Hooks to Heidi Gardner.
@@VHScape for those "counting" however the writing goes to SCTV
Alpha channel, another prescient creation of SCTV
God, I love this show!
The Walter Cronkite segment had me in stitches. LOL.
A 379-album set!
Lightfoot singing Monster Mash…. Hahahaha
It’s like SCTV was broadcast by real life SCTVs lol
@0:41 Mary Hart epileptic seizure convulsion warning
Ironic, since the great man rarely sang other artists songs.
Is the equitable life thingamajig part of the SCTV parody?1
Roy Orbison! The editing in this video is terrible but tv was very scared of pay tv on cable.
IKR? I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT GIVING MY PLANTS AIR!

Nothing personal but was never a fan of Rosato and Duke as part of the cast. Wasn’t a fit.
I thought they were great
Is this an entire family rendering its opinion, or a single individual of it?
@@QuadMochaMatti None of your business.
...They were the first two members (or featured) to be nabbed by SNL '82, Duke had alot of memorable skits with Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscapo...
I think both were very talented but I agree, they werent a good fit for SCTV.
Man, that's funny.
