This is absolutely sick man! Reminds me a bit of L-wiz with some hits of Joker but with a more modern touch. Kinda has that "Purple" sound/vibe going on you know? At least thats what i felt like it reminded me of.
The chiptuney arps and synth really reminds a lot of what rusko, rustie and joker did in the early 2010s, that with a bit of a jazzy swing to it really makes it sound very unique to what's produced nowadays. Think it was called "wonky" or "skweee" in particular

I said this on the IG page, but I'll say it here too, I was hesitant to hear this since the original is my favorite song ever and I didn't think it could live up to its name. But hearing it now, it's like a completely different experience, such that it's pointless to compare the two. Definitely an interesting approach. It all paid off though, loving the groovy feeling. Big ups, gonna have this on repeat for quite a while!
