@@bloxsy_ Oh yeah, it has this lo-fi dirty sound to it still. Same thing with early Ramones, the songs are very catchy, but lyrics and sound still retain that street level quality
Needed that! There are certain songs that are just ‘there’, etched into your brain forever, whether just coz it’s a damn good tune or riff, or for circumstantial reasons … And you’ve just nailed three of mine - Suspect Device, Babylon’s Burning and Pretty Vacant. I can now have my Sunday afternoon nap safe in the knowledge that in this one tiny instance, all is good in my world. Cheers!
Never heard of Rudimentary Peni before (even though I'm 54 - shame on me) but I thought it didn't half sound like the opening to Slither by Velvet Revolver.
never noticed how much 1977 sounds like all day and all of the night also sorry but would you mind putting the period after the k? periods go after both initials f.y.i. one notable exception: N.W.A
Maybe mine just wasn't set up right. It was during the lockdowns, and I was experimenting with guitars. I still love SGs though, I'd love to get another at some point.
They do overall all music better. Look at the classics Beatles, Sabbath, Floyd, Zep, even Hendrix had to travel over there for his career to take off. Page, Beck, and Clapton all from the same county. Something in that water for sure
Do you know that there are punk bands in Argentina like attaque 77 , los violadores , 2 minutos , flema , massacre , expulsados , fun people , bulldog , todos tus muertos , argies , cadena perpetua , eterna inocencia , jauria y etc of punk bands from the best country there is of audiences greetings from Argentina
Teenage Kicks is a song that fills me with exuberant energy every time I hit play. Perfect pop punk song,if you would like to call it that
Yes it's sort of 'pop-punk' but has a proper punk energy to it if you know what I mean.

Please do more Wire riffs! Their first album alone has enough good ones for a video!
Definitely
Oh yes!
Loving the videos these past years, you should totally make a 90s riffs video. Really got into ya with the 70s and 80s riffs videos
Yeah I was thinking about that the other day. Need to do one for the 90s!
Happy to see x-ray spex and the ruts, they deserve more attention, thanks!
Very cool, as always those riffs that I like. Thank you
Thank you!
Thank you for this man! Some buddies of mine and I started a punk band and this video has given me lots of inspiration for guitar riffs!
That's good to hear! Thanks for watching :)
So glad you got GBH in there. I wish you got Discharge and the Exploited too! Maybe next time! Hüsker Dü has some amazing hardcore riffs too
Great to see X-Ray Spex in there! Maybe some Slits next time? Always hard to fit everyone in
Yeah X-Ray Spex have some great riffs. I actually thought this one here sounded a bit like a hard rock song, like Black Sabbath or something.

What happened to that cool looking walnut epiphone sg?
I got rid of it. It wouldn't stay in tune. It was really cool though and I liked the neck.
@@bloxsy_ That's a shame
I have the same one except mine's black. It's great for a fuzzy punk tone
Maybe mine just wasn't set up right. It was during the lockdowns, and I was experimenting with guitars. I still love SGs though, I'd love to get another at some point.
the cloud song is such a good one damn
Great selection!!! (y)

I'm American and I really think you guys did punk so much better than us.
I think America had a lot of great punk bands. It depends on your preference I guess.
🇬🇧🎸💯🌟
I’m an Angloid citizen and I wouldn’t say so. Probably about even, all things considered.
Nah, Avril.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Could ya do a tutorial on The Stooges 1970?
Yeah that would be a cool riff to look at

The undertones riff sounds just like avon by queens of the stone age
I never thought of the Undertones as punk. Are they punk?
Kind of. Pop punk maybe?
Esa
The undertones and stiff little fingers are Irish
Northern Ireland, technically UK
@@edyb2097… & so, very strictly speaking, and without waving any flag they’re British …
