one of my favorite family memories was visiting Knotts. Taking my family in March to Disneyland...Knotts...Universal and the beach. We went last year for the Boysenberry festival but all the rides were still closed...can't wait to hit it this year finally after almost 50 years.
I grew up two blocks from knotts I have many wonderful memories from spending time there. I live in Northern California now and still grow boysenberries.
Grew up in Fullerton. That was in the 1970s. This brings back amazing memories. Knott's Berry Farm is still a relatively undiscovered gem of America. Great vid!!! Love your channel
I'm from needles. I went their this year and hated it. You have to pay with a card. I love the chicken soup at Grandma's Knotts, but it was awful. It tasted old, like real old 😖 never going again until they get rid of their commie way of doing things.
I was in Knotts Berry Farm back in the late 60's. But unfortunately we went to Disney First and found, back then, did not live up to Disney. But i did get a caricature of me when i was 15. wish i could find it.
Ghostrider is the most aggressive wooden coaster I've ever been on! This thing screams around the track. Thanks for the historical tour. I found that very interesting.
I used to live in SoCal, and we were definitely big fans of the theme parks in the area. We were mostly a Disneyland family, but we also loved going to Knott’s. We loved the rides and the chicken dinners. It’s not my main park but it’s certainly close to my heart.
We love Knott's...preferred its older incarnation rather than the roller coaster format. But still great and now I want a boysenberry funnel cake!! Ha ha thanks
Believe it or not... when I was a kid we went to Knott's berry farm, a driving holiday with family. We ate berry stuff and brought jam to take home but the big deal is I saw Peter, Paul and Mary perform live. Can you say Puff the Magic Dragon. They were on a stage and we were all outside watching the show. My mom liked it much more than Disneyland. We went to Knott's Berry farm before ever seeing Disneyland. Once we went to Disneyland, my brother and I were... Disneyland is the best.
Wow - I’m LIKE 👍 number 999 - but there’s room for 1000! Any volunteers? Loved the video. Knott’s is probably our next trip, and it’s been years since I’ve been. Our kids (6 and 3) have never been yet.
best video I've ever seen on Knott's; very descriptive thorough - I've been there many times thought I didn't need to go again -- yet you made me want to return -- thank you
Anything Boysenberry is GREAT! I had a Snoopy electric toothbrush as a kid & Charlie brown alarm clock that said he was allergic to morning! My 1st ride on one like Montezuma's was in Houston. I screamed like a girl during launch, loop butter smooth, left stomach @ the top of 1st hill. Best ride EVER though (also 1st time ride @ night no glasses!) Yes! The theming of the park is lovingly done. A visit is like putting on a favorite old pair of house shoes. When I go to Disneyland, Knott's is always a MUST as well. I'm ready for some chicken too. Thanks Chris!
Couple of fun facts 1. Xcelerator(one of the all time great coasters) was ride manufacturer Intamin's first ever hydraulic launch coaster 2. Intamin, who made the Calico River Rapids also made the Grizzly River ride at DCA 3. May be wrong here, but based on some research I did Montezooma's Revenge is the first launch coaster on the West Coast(East coast had Schwarzkopf and Arrow coasters a year earlier) 4. A guy who worked on a lot of Knotts, Bud Hurlbut who designed and worked on the Calico Mine Train and the Timber Mountain Log Ride, opened his own small theme park Castle Park in my hometown of Riverside and 5. Knotts Bear-y Tales is a 1975 dark ride which was designed by legendary Disney Imagineer Rolly Crump who did quite a bit of work on the Haunted Mansion among many others, and the new sequel ride was designed with input from Crump, one of the last living original Imagineers Great video, I love Knotts and hope it helped some other folks love Knotts too
I went to knotts yesterday. You can do it in one day. The people I went with yesterday we had the chicken meal you can actually split it with two people because it’s a lot of food for $25.
Love knotts too but the lines are long. In camp snoopy and most of the rides, there is one attendant checking the seatbelts, handicap paper pass and starting the actual ride. On a hot day, it’s very tough.
Sadly I haven't been inside the park in a while. Need to find someone to take with, and enjoy the ghost town, and have Sad Eye Joe say hi by name to them. One thing you did not mention. When you talked about Mrs Knotts Chicken Dinner Restaurant. First, you don't have to go inside the park to enjoy the best delicious Chicken dinner. Also, the Restaurant during normal times (no virus thing) is open for a delicious breakfast fare. Great place to bring out of town visitors, even if they don't have time for the park. Have breakfast or dinner, then let them do some souvenir shopping at Virginia's gift shop. Also on the other side of the Restaurant is the sweet shop. Great treats to take home. Thanks Chris, this was nice.
Last time I was ever at Knotts was with my parents back when they had the Perilous Plunge ride. We kind of stopped going when we were down in Southern California. What's enticing about Knotts to me now is the lack of needing a reservation to get in. That's kind of what is turning me off of going back to Disneyland.
Can you do a secrets revealed on the trains they have. I love the Disneyland engines and the ghost town and calico railroad engines from Denver and rio grande but I really hope you can:D
We used to have so much fun on the Wacky Soap Box Racers way back when. The park is so different now. Corkscrew is gone. Haunted Shack is gone. I don't miss Sky Jump. That scared the crap out of me. 😆 The last time we went, Ghost Rider was brand new. I need to go back soon.
Went there on Sunday..a native of SoCal,, and 62, so I've been there all my life, since it was SOHHH dfferent..I giot some cookies..BOYSENBERRY ones,of course!(Walter and Cordy Knott's own creation!!!!) UPDATE!!!! Went there again Saturday, June 24! 10:55 the School house--where our Chris Provost brings the time honored tropes of little girls with pigtails and also of school boys nauightiy sticking little girls pigtails in ink
How sad the Bird Cage no longer does their short melodramas--they were a riot! By the by, the Bird Cage came from Tombstone Arizona, if I remember right!
Omg I’m there in gosht town with my friends u can see I’m the one with the blonde bangs walking with the guy and my friend recognized u and we waited for the video to come out and we see ourselves
Appreciate and love the Knott's content. Hopefully you'll do Universal Studios Hollywood as well too. Can't wait till they open Nintendo World later this year.
When I was in the 6th grade, my class stayed at a camp for a week called Camp Waskowitz. We panned for gold there too! The "gold" was either fake gold flakes or gravel pieces painted gold if I remember correctly. But of course as a kid, I thought it was real lol.

I saw Beatlemania in Knott's theater back in the early 80's...great show.

I have visited Knott's twice in 1987 even kept a Snoopy on a beach chair t-shirt until today
I was born and raised in Santa Ana...loved Knotts as a kid

Oh man Knotts is a real gem tbh, used to love the soap box racers and parachute ride they used to have
I haven't been to knott's since I was a little kid (I'm 53 now). I had no idea how much it has expanded. Amazing
I was in Knotts Berry Farm back in the late 60's. But unfortunately we went to Disney First and found, back then, did not live up to Disney. But i did get a caricature of me when i was 15. wish i could find it.
I need to make time to check out Knotts. We only go to Disney and Universal, and Knotts is right there. I need to make this a priority.
Yes you do.
Thank you for showing me the park, I have never been and now I know what it is like going there
Ghostrider is the most aggressive wooden coaster I've ever been on! This thing screams around the track.

Totally did. 😁💚💙😂
I love Knotts. Have been going there since the early 1970's. Thank you for the great memories
Haven't been in over 20 years taking my kids in a few months. This video was amazing

Thank you so much for showing us all of Knott's. We love this place and really enjoyed this video. Back to basics. It was great!
My birthday 🥳 is the same day that you guys posted a brand new UA-cam video which is this Monday.
14:30 next to the Mystery Lodge are all the pressed penny machines.
❤️❤️miss the olden days of Knotts.
What a cool park! Cedar Fair should bring some more theming like that to Cedar Point.
Wow - I’m LIKE 👍 number 999 - but there’s room for 1000! Any volunteers?

Loved this video! I’ve watched twice! Would love all the different parks!
When sad eye Joe is snoring you can usually wake him up. When he's silent is when he's not there
Lol that girl at 21:20 keeps looking back like you're following her
🙋♀️🍭thanku for sharing.. never been to knoxx .. loved & enjoyed your vids

Hi
I'll tell you how it is when I go to Universal in August, remind me
