This monorail "Pilot" is a no nonsense guy. He seems like he must be former military drill sergeant or perhaps a traffic cop. He's not one for small talk...ha ha!
Those new Mark VII trains are always having issues. I can understand how it can be cool at first, but it does get frustrating when you can't count on the system to be as dependable as it used to.
I've often driven past the first monorail in the world (Phantasialand Jet in Germany). Unfortunately it was closed down in 2008 (last ride on November 02, 2008 at 17:45 clock)!
I wouldn't be scared to. What happened at WDW was a human error. They didn't confirm the track switch from the main rail to the spur. DL has a different type of system.
Well the Railroad had 4 trains on one day and I feel sorry for the dispatcher as he had backed every one up. The train I was on waited behind New Orleans Square for 5 minutes because the train ahead of us took forever!!!!!
from what I know the monorail uses in-cab signals so the red green light thing might have another meaning (it could indicate if a switch is aligned or not)
I've been on this monorail they always have problems we broke down on the monorail when we went but the drivers( if that's what you wanna call them) they are great some problems can't be helped I guess! And I've been in the front before and it's great fun the driver was great and he was so kind! I love Disney so much :P
@@nicolea2839 Walt Disney World's Monorail doesn't do cab rides anymore ever since the July 2009 crash, and sometimes it would be a distraction to the pilot.
At least the California monorail still lets everyone ride at the cab section
Watching this in 2021, and just missing the monorail and tram.Hope they'll be back anytime soon.🤞

This is the Anaheim one. and oh no, did you have to watch the whole parade? :P

This happened to me but luckily we we along the parade route in disneyland so we got to watch a parade
jlb66066 well it’s a good thing that you had some entertainment while you were stuck.

You can still sit in the front, I was there in December. But only at DL not WDW.
I think it must be a nice view, but since july 5th 2009, I would not sit in the front.

Megan Brooke You're right. I've never really think that way.
Yup it's great! Check it out if you ever go, it's different than riding in the cars!
+Megan Brooke The drivers wasn't told about a switch, so they ended up colliding with each other.
I’d expect the technicians to show up earlier.
At Disneyland resort you can ride up front on the Moreale
God the horn made me jump!
i got stuck on the monorail too, except its the one in Anaheim, CA. just when the parade was about to begin
This IS the one in Anaheim, CA...
It just so happens that you HAVE been on this one, because this is the Ca. Location

its a track switch they have 2 stop until cleared like planes on take off
imagine if your kid has to number 1 or 2 in this situation.
Why was the monorail stopped at the switch? The signal was clearly green. Was there something going on at the station?
i think They have to be cleared.
from what I know the monorail uses in-cab signals

Thats where the staff comes into play when your stuck
no, we started to move, but i watched it on main street USA

it has a horn?
The operators have to honk the horn when the monorail departs the station and at certain points along the route.
i never knew that the markvii had a horn
The horn is honked when departing a station and at other points along the route.
I thought these were automatic.
THAT HAPPEN TO ME AND WE WERE TURNING
it broke down
the Simon and Ivan show it did not. Theres a technical problem at tomorrow land station
Nobody knows it has a horn, I have. Been stuck on blue orange and red mostly I love the monorail and sitting up front
