Any paper strips can be used. Choose any location on the ball to be the north pole, wrap the strip around the fullest part of the ball. Bring the strip back around to the north pole, and fold it to this circumference length, trim the paper strip. amzn.to/3AvMegW.

I make these using a styrene balls which are usually available in craft shops. It is easier to keep it round.
