Just received mine, exactly the same colour and Iove it! I’m so impressed by how easy it is to slide and open the bag. I thought I’d have a tougher time. It’s so satisfying opening and closing. Stlll have to get used to taking it out and about on different occasions but so far so good!
I sent the Pink Tokyo back that I purchased. Even though I loved the pretty pink, the shoulder strap was too short for me and the bag was small and so lightweight it just felt a bit cheap. It already had a scuff on the back when removed from the box. I own quite a few DeMellier bags that I love but have also returned 6 bags over the last 2 months due to stitching issues and other flaws. I bought most of my bags during the 20% off Black Friday sale and year end sales event. I have a feeling that some of the bags I received may have been returns. Anyway Im glad you love your Tokyo. I may try the new larger size next time.
on the website it looks. like they have added feet to this bag and removed that extra hardware for the should strap clasp. Maybe when they come back in stock they will have these updates
It’s actually the large size closure is wayy better, dear! Let me tell you: I got the mini marly! This is my honest not an influencer opinion. THE PROS : The bag looks exquisite 👌🏻 Leather excellent 10/10. The MEGA CON : The mini marly has no hook to attach the crossbody. So you attach to the top handle holes. It is hooorible!! The magnetic closure is so weak!! It easily open just with a soft touch/bump. I cannot be carefree when carry this bag. Aesthetically it is just ugly when the flap just kept opening!! 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ It is a design flaw!! They could use a hook or very strong magnet. I waited to long passed the return window to carry this. I still like it, just not very happy especially when I paid over $500 and cannot be carefree with this bag!! Ugh.
Oh no, I didn't know that about the mini Marly closure.. but yeah the large Marley closure is really annoying and doesn't make it a carefree bag either unfortunately 😔
