Dave-O is really improving his craft, takes some kinda skill to hide in a chimney that long and still be able to smell when the battery is low, I can barely smell when it's halfway.

Not hard to run, phpbb based forums are rather easy, I'm running a few and they're 1. cheap if not free, 2. easy to manage, even to a beginner

Making a trello forum work place type thing might be cool but it requires a lot of confidence in non trolly actions by members of the group.

This "guild" idea sounds great, to be honest. Back when I was considerably younger I started diddling around in Photoshop because I had a friend that did traditional painting and I was super envious, but didn't want to directly copy him. I know that sounds like a terrible motivation, but I had such a strong interest in what he did that I wanted to do it too. Ugh, I had such a spirit breaking experience trying to figure out the program along with learning the right techniques to accomplish what I was seeing in my mind. I had nearly given up when I stumbled upon an online community dedicated to not only helping people learn photoshop and other digital art programs, but the community its self took over a lot of the responsibilities. It was a great atmosphere to be in, I learned SO much and made a lot of great acquaintances. I still talk to a few of them here and there.
The one thing that will always prevail as my "fondest memory" of the place was that you would always get so many perspectives of constructive criticism about your work. Nobody would be a downright ass and say "this sucks"(like much of UA-cam is so quick to do). The criticism was always, well, constructive. Some of the more professional uploaders would take time to give you little pointers right on the spot while most of them would upload countless tutorials breaking down various techniques. (Sound familiar?)
Also, yes, I think it should be formally known as a Guild. Guilds are cool... If done right it can be a wonderful little haven for people to exchange thoughts, ideas, and whatever little project they might be working on in a positive environment.

Damn, you said it. Even though I'm naturally a loner, and I need to be alone alot, that feeling when you kind of have people around you but they're "the wrong people " is even worse,like..when you're reading about something or created something you're so amazed and so excited and have a feeling like "omg this is so amazing I need to tell you about this!"and you do that and the other person is always just "meh", "yea..", "aah..right"..you know, that no reaction-reaction. It's frustrating!
Dave, I watch every single one of your videos when they come out, and every single one has a serious point and still continues to be extremely clever and absolutely hilarious. This is why I would say you're one of my top five favourite youtubers to watch on a regular basis. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll put a lot of smiles out there. man, I really wish you stuck with calling it a guild. That would have been far cooler. All told, though, I'm totally on board with this idea. I think it should probably emphasize weekly cumulative totals of work, though, as opposed to short bursts of daily work, as it encourages people to tackle slightly larger problems instead of consistently posting updates of really minor things that they probably could have done without group support.

Dave, I really appreciate these very honest videos. I love these very open, honest videos. These videos are a main reason that you're one of my favorite youtubers. You constantly inspire and entertain, so thank you. That said, my wife and daughter are currently back in their home country, and I've noticed that I've struggled to motivate myself to get things done since they've left. This guild will be a great thing! I hope that I can be useful in it, as well as use it to boost my studies! See you on Sunday!
