  • Volcano tourism is not a new phenomenon, people have traveled to active volcanoes for many centuries. Every year millions of tourists visit active and dormant volcanoes. They want to see the fantastic scenery. They enjoy beautiful sunsets and take spectacular pictures of eruptions.
    How do volcanoes affect tourism?
    Why do tourists visit volcanoes?
Volcano tourism is growing in popularity as more people are interested in exploring unique natural areas while also studying geological heritage.
Protected sites such as national parks, geo-parks, and World Heritage sites play an important role in volcano tourism and provide visitors with the opportunity to learn about geodiversity in close contact with nature while experiencing scenic beauty.
With more than 1,500 active volcanoes around the world, for many regions volcano tourism represents a welcome economic advantage.
Therefore, active and inactive volcanic attractions provide valuable natural resources for tourism, including geo-tourism, adventure tourism, and ecotourism.
Often the aftermath of a violent eruption will bring increased visitor numbers, linking volcano tourism to disaster tourism or dark tourism to Pompeii, a popular example of a World Heritage site, which relies on devastation. caused by a volcanic eruption almost 2,000 years ago.

I wouldn't get that damn close to a volcano for any reason.

Some people don't have enough conscience to protect their lives. Because i believe if a dog would have being there by that time, it would run away

  • @Chotibenadotyt

The photos are more valuable than their lives

I live in Hawaii and work near the volcano Kilauea. You never get that close to it. Not only because of the lava but sometimes the ground collapses because its hollow where lava travels to reach the summit. Being that close is a bad idea

This is why the main camera man never dies...

Now that's a bit to close, it's one thing to get hit by a rock, but these are hot sticky rocks!
