- Belal Muhammad is ranked No. 2 at welterweight and will challenge Leon Edwards for the title on July 27 in Manchester, England, in the main event of UFC 304.
Muhammad talks about the improvements he made since his first fight with Edwards, a bout that ended with a no-contest 18 seconds into the second round when Edwards inadvertently poked Muhammad in the eye. Muhammad said he's vastly better now than he was then and Edwards is in for a shock if he's expecting the same fighter.
He also discussed his wrestling, and how his improved striking has made the wrestling even more dangerous.
It's an interesting interview with one of MMA's good guys.

The thing is all of his recent opponents had their specialties in MMA whether they were grapplers, strikers, etc.... Leon might be a striker as his main specialty in MMA but he's a complete mixed martial artist and just very overall skilled everywhere. Belal is a pressure fighter who is good at finding a way to win the fight but he needs Leon to make a mistake or just not be on his A game in order to win this one I have a feeling. Hes motivated, hungry and determined, hes got tenacity and fortitude but overall he's just not as skilled as Leon which could prove to be the difference

Nobody likes him because he brings nothing. Not a personality. Not an exciting fighting style. He’s kind of annoying. His voice is for sure annoying. Then he always talks like he is better than. A combination of everything is why no one likes him. Leon is gonna destroy him either way. Very talented fighter though I give him that. No one can say that he isn’t a beast in the cage.
