Nah, they dont need to be completely completely faithful, if WIT is cutting down on unnecessary padding, they can make room for more relaxed scenes and jokes
i really hope they end up doing skypiea because that arc was beautiful in the original so it in the art style we have been shown so far on skypiea would be awesome
I just hope that WIT Studio does the following: 1. Have new Voice Actors, because the current ones are old & should honestly retire. 2. Adapt the Cover story arcs since they're canon & they make sense. Maybe at the start of each episode when they start or towards the very end of the episodes. 3. Since the first season is covering the whole east blue saga, I just hope the episode length will be around 30-35 minutes. I just don't think WIT Studio can adapt 100 chapters with 22-25 minute long episodes, unless some of the east blue chapters are around 15 pages, then it could make sense. 4. No filler arcs except for the G-8 arc. That's my opinion what the remake needs to do. Hope they do it.
With how old the voice actors are getting, I do think new voice actors would be the right call, Franky's VA already got recast and who knows how long the other voice actors can hold out. I assume the remake will be seasonal so it might not even be at Fishman Island by the time the original anime is finished.
@@cyanalternation4237 I do think the WIT Studio remake might not throw the originals out yet. The producers might offer them cameo voices as background characters or something which would be cool.
I really want to see it be good because while the arcs have been remade a couple of times, they never tried to cature the actual original art style. The later style from the movies is fine, but it's kind of uncanny to see East Blue Luffy in Wano's style, but that's just how I feel about it. The concept art looks amazing and I hope that we will at least get to Skypiea
Looks worse and worse the more we see. Art style doesn't look accurate to the manga. Toeis anime actually imitated Oda's style correctly for most of the animes length. Also Wit Studios has 0% chance of getting as good voice actors for all these hundreds of roles, they are all perfectly casted in Toei OP. Music is godlike too, literally no way they can do better than Overtaken, Three Towers etc.
This video just pissed me off idk how many times wit studio themselves and other sources have to tell yall they are remaking ALL of one piece yet there are still people like you running around lying saying they're only doing the east blue. Is it so hard to do one simple easy search to find out the truth?

@ I should be more specific that’s my bad but anything past this isn’t confirmed. It had Netflix backing WIT studio only produces it. If it doesn’t preform like Netflix wants it to, they can just cancel it like they’ve done with plenty of other shows
