To be honest the AI in this game is pretty outdated. I like the game but the programming of the AI is garbage. hostile AI has a reactiontime of less than 250ms(there is a video out there measuring that) regardless if theyre unaware of players presence or facing the whole other direction. Thats twice as fast as human reaction time, wich makes it impossble to play the game as intended since the process of spotting, identifying, deciding, acting takes wayyy longer than the AI allows And some of you might have noticed that hostiles sonetimes seem to habe x-ray view. Well thats because they have. The Game places a Marker on the Player as he has been spotted once. Thats why the AI knows the exact Position of the Player and starts to wallbang him.
I mean it's 100% an improvement over the AI in early access, but there's still some stuff that's just weird. One of your team members goes down towards the end and there's zero acknowledgement or interaction from the rest of the team lol
I think the improvement makes it totally playable and even fun for that single player badassery feeling we yearned for. Though ig with the bit more updates they could make the swat members more humane like include them swearing right after dealing with a gunfight ... dialogues varying from veteran experience to rookie squadmates
Played a bunch since release and had the suspect AI shoot me only once through the walls without ever seeing me, then 2 times it saw me and was heading to cover as it sprayed the wall with bullets. Never died from either. It does happen and it needs to be ironed out, but people are making it seem as if it’s every mission. Also if you watch people they enter a room way too fast and then complain they didn’t have time to react to being shot. Point is the AI does need fixing, and so does people’s attitude. Bunch of drama queens.
@@brandenlebowski6826 id say the micro managing aspect doesn’t need too much work as a lot of people play the game for the intended experience of being a swat commander.

AI needs a decent amount of improvement when it comes to clearing large, open areas IMO. And the enemy AI is still too ridiculously aware. But it’s better than it was, sure.

Nah the enemy AIs are op as hell they be one tapping you from accross the map with wall hacks and aimboting. Im stuck on the final mission it has the most enemies I think and the biggest map.
This game is really fun playing with friends and a great improvement over early access. To add a bit of realism though I miss features like being able to plant weapons or drugs on innocent people you accidentally kill because you're twitchy. Also maybe being able to kill those NPCs who ask if we have a search warrant without any repercussions with regards to having points deducted on mission completion.
I wish you can actually see the "trailers" moving in to secure the area, render aid, and remove suspects and weapons, instead of only relying on your teammates and door wedges. Unless you are a first responder on the scene there's little reason to not have these support personnel readily available.
You actually do see some, only at the end of a mission. Once the main threats have been dealt with, personnel move in to do the things you’ve described. They showcase some of it in the AI update on the VOID Interactive channel.

Naw the AI needs a ton of work, your team acts like they failed coast guard basic training and the enemy acts like they are all ex navy seals with awareness enhancing implants.
This update is mostly lies here is why. The ai is better but it’s mostly the enemy are like aimbots while my trained swat can’t shoot for shit, I have finished the game despite this, with ai bugs being the only reason I ever failed. Some examples: I still had my teammate shoot me in the head trying to shoot a suspect through a wall …while stacked before entering the room, not even breaching just bam right through my head intro he wall Or I tell them to move and clear, they decide to move and clear the whole building pushing alone super deep, all spread out not covering each other running past openings not even looking in them. Or I say stack up and one guy runs back halfway around the map to a room 5 rooms over to cover some random door (covering the rear I guess) But man just left to go lone wolf essentially, and I have to spam fall in 5 times before they listen. The update was fake news. All they do now that’s different is move when you are trying to walk past them… sometimes unless you are “in their spot” they say… I thought we could move anywhere into the stack… fake placebo update The demo footage is taken from thousands of hours of testing so the footage we got was curated from all of that… I mean they made a lot of money good shit.
I play this first mission and refund it I will buy the game when the dev auto the F button i hate it when you need to press F to say to npc then you will be suprise by a Gunner and Boom your dead

Agree. The Swat AI is pretty good. At little micromanaging is needed but that is fine. Suspect AI is just awful.
