    He's not a bottomless well that will just run and jump at multiple times per day and survive with his best energy in the finals. The kid is in great health, but they can destroy it by asking him to do too much.

    Aside from that 1 National championship it’s been so surprising to see how difficult it is for him to consistently shine at the national meet

      Not surprising. The attention he receives would lead you to believe he's better than he actually is. For the record he has yet to break 10 seconds in the 100 or 20 seconds in the 200. I'm not saying he's not good but he's definitely overrated.

      Yes, if you completely ignore the fact that he is the best in the nation at an event and possibly the best long jumper in the country it is much easier to call him overrated.

      @@why-even-try-brotendo he's not the best in the nation at anything. until he can run a world competitive time outdoors he's *OVERRATED* and has not earned the hype even a little bit.

      @@oldfrend He won the NCAA indoor 200 in 2021 and recorded the best long jump of 2022. That is how they measure talent and ability, not the opinion of some random guy on the internet.

    Matt ran 20.42 in prelims. But when the lights came on he doesn't perform well. So Matt's training needs to be Psychological.
