Battery life has also been an issue for me. The battery isn't small to say but it's performance is not so great.

With an update it may help with consistancy, i use a tripod and take all my time, it's not a phone for impatient people for the photos Thought the gestures mode is crazy

Pretty poor performance for a flagship to have to be used with a tripod though 😣

@@ItsTomRich Yeah but that's what i love i have to take lot of time and unlike iphone 13 the pictures don't look synthetic, my go to was vivo x80 pro but the import fees are crazy high, also the bands sucks

@@ItsTomRich Problems with iphone: imo( screen is not even a 10 bit display in 2022, telephoto only do 3x no hybrid zoom at least, corners are terrible, the build is very cheap imo, since iphone 11 design never changed much, when you make pictures theres always a bright yellow filter that i hate, depth of field sucks with iphone to my experience ( I'm not a photographer in any way) but for me apple put too much on marketting and not enough on the build and that yellow filters is what kills the pictures

Hi. Cool videos and topics. I have a competitor for any new so called flagship... Xiaomi Mi10 & Mi10 pro. Nothing on the planet is better value for money! Got mine from CEX, as new, grade A for 250£. 108 mpx, super dual speakers, 8gb +3gb ram, 256gb storage, IR blaster, bluetooth, superfast wifi, fast wired/wireless charging, dual-sim, etc etc ...... Cheeers!

As a photographer you say the iphone's camera is better than this ? I would say it's clearly not. Also the battery life which I agree is the best thing on Iphone, why would you mention it ? Basicly you forgot the benchmark scores. 🤣 Because it seems like you're pretty biased towards the iphone.
Honor is by far the superior machine in almost every domain except battery. Yes, S 22 is better overall, but I would go with honor or xiaomi. Iphone is far behind, sorry to burst your bubble.

Crazy part as well is that battery life isnt just a simple equation. There are a lot if factors that go into getting the most battery life.... and regardless if those circumstance it is divided by how fast the phone can top up that battery life. 100W charger can get you from 0 to 50% in less than 15 minutes. And a full charge in about 30 minutes. That is absolutely insane battery life when i know i can pretty much charge my phone for a few minutes and know im good for the rest of the day. My Pixel 6 pro has some of the worst battery life ive ever seen, but also has some of the worst charging as well. I do miss my Note 20 Ultra which consistently great. But i have been using the Honor Magic 4 in conjunction with my Surface Duo 2. The Latter is a productivity monster and the other is my daily driver. I need my daily driver to be a great shooter with battery i can rely on. The fast charger should 100% be noted. It took typically 1 and a half hours to top up my Galaxy S22 Ultra.

@@darpinian1 please may I ask? - considering the market right now, if you were to be starting a brand new contract or just getting a new phone (say, if you had a P30 Pro or similar-age device), would you go for the Honor Magic 4 Pro? Or any other device? Really stuck and unsure tbh

    • @darpinian1
      @darpinian1 Рік тому +1

@@chillingwithshillam I think value for value, the Honor Magic 4 Pro is probably one of the best phones on the market right now along with the Pixel 6/7 pro and the OnePlus 11 (which I have as 1&2 respectively). Especially with the Honor Magic 5 Pro just being released... We should see the prices dip very soon. I prefer MagicUI and it's customizations. If you didn't really get tired of your P30, then the Honor Magic is the phone for you.

@@darpinian1 thank you so much for your reply, super useful and comprehensive! I'm in the UK so I've got a few weeks until the magic 5 pro drops, but I'm quite in need so might have to firm it and get the magic 4 pro... though it seems like the wait might be worth it, just not for the cost. D'you think going from a P30 Pro to a Magic 4 Pro probably would be decent enough? So out of the loop that I kinda think the difference might be negligible, but at the same time if it's vastly improved from 4 to 5 then maybe it'd be worth the wait and cost? Honestly not sure what to do

@@chillingwithshillam Huawei used to own Honor. You can look at the current crop of honor phones as Huawei phones with Google. You will feel right at home on the Honor devices, there's no difference.

Fantastic reveiw! I just had hoped since they have literally copied everything from Huawei why not put the Kirin 9000 chip on it? Instead of the most worst processor made in 2022 the Snapdragon 8 gen 1!!! The phone still gets super hot when playing games and just in general. My old mate 40 pro was such an amazing phone but when I saw they had GSM on this phone I got this one but instantly regreted it mainly because of the stupid CPU. The camera too isn't that great when compared with mate 40 pro or p40 pro.
My sisters iphone 13 pro max is insane and runs so damn cool even when playing intensive gaming or watching UA-cam and still holds the crown for the longest battery life on a smartphone.
Honor needs to let go of snapdragon they're the worst in the market espeically when the consumers are paying a heavy price of £1000+
People second hand are selling them for 400-500 and cex selling for much cheaper! This phone should not cost more than £450 at best purely because of that disgusting cpu.
Thank you for reading my rant Lol

As far as I understand there will not be any Kirin chips in the future, I've used Kirin 810 and it's great, but unfortunately sanctions have killed HiSilicon company that was producing them...
