Why did God tell Hosea this? I knocked my head to find the answer. In the end I came up with this. It would be cheaper than throwing good money after bad. I highly doubt that men were stoned as the women in the case of adultery. When the men came to Jesus about the women who they claimed had an adulterous affair, Jesus didn’t ask for the man who was with her so that he was punished too, but said he without sin cast the first stone.
