Snowmobiling 25 Miles To Off Grid Camp in Maine | Snowmobile Trip | Heating a Log Cabin in Winter

- Our two old(er) snowmobiles take us to our remote cabin in northwestern Maine for quite the adventure. After packing our snowmobiles, we ride 25 miles on rough trails to eventually arrive at our off grid log cabin. after arriving, we are tasked with warming up our cold cabin, cleaning mouse droppings, and lighting the propane lanterns.
Enjoy our dramatic footage of spotting a (very cute) raccoon near camp (I wanted to bring it home!).
On this trip, we celebrated my dad's birthday! And were accompanied with deer, raccoons, and many red squirrels. Mike had to work during this trip so our dog, Karma, stayed at home with him.

Previous description of our camp:
After driving (via truck) nearly 20 miles on dirt logging roads, you'll find the Powers "Pine Tree Camp". Overlooking the remnants of the dam used during log drives on the Dead River, it was previously used as the cabin for the dam caretaker & cook. The cabin was built in ~1928, and still to this day, has no running water, electricity, plumbing, cell phone service, or neighbors. A true Maine cabin.
We hope you enjoy!

We'll have to try that!
Oh Jesus not Natty Light! 🥺😂

We always call them masked bandits because they're they're a little critters getting your stuff anywhere house or anything especially if you love your trash but we call masked bandits
Haha- we call them trash pandas!
Looks like a ton of fun! Thanks for taking us along on another adventure to camp. How often are you able to get to camp? Is it a good haul from where you live, or fairly close by? I'm trying to convince my wife, 2 hours is not too far.
Cheers from the Bangor area!
Glad you enjoyed the video! It takes my dad about 2.5/3 hours and it takes Mike and I (Mattea) about 1.5/2 hours, depending on the conditions of the dirt roads. We try to be there as much as we can! Usually every other weekend, holiday weekends, and a week during Thanksgiving/hunting camp.
The longest part is the 25 miles of dirt logging roads that are typically in rough shape so we have to go ~20 to 25 mph.
2 hours isn’t bad at all! You should go for it :)
I’m high asf
