Like I said before it’s a shame they took out some celebrity references it’s what made this game unique it’s also hilarious they removed the infamous jiggle physics for a later boss
It's funny, because I practiced the boss fight several times before recording, yet I didn't pay attention to the rainbow part until I was actually recording, and the traumatic flashbacks suddenly came back.
To be fair the snes rainbow road wasn’t that bad if you drift around the course when I was a child though I probably broke a few controllers back then 😅
1:16 Yeah! It was meant to say Bruce Lee in the SNES version, but it got removed and changed the dialogue in the Switch. 3:22 Leroy Jenkins! 4:57 Not cool, Bowyer!! 8:14 Paper Jam? Do you mean a crossover between Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi game? Yep, I heard it. 12:36 Another dialogue for Geno that I skipped again!
I thought he said that… did they really remove that!? Omg they probably thought someone would pretend to be offended or something and cause a big stink. Haha man this game is so great though I would love to see a sequel in this style and a return of the awesome characters. I haven’t played this remake; does it lose anything being remade in this style? That snes version sure had some amazing atmosphere I hope it still feels the same
I love how they used this boss fight to demonstrate the new party attacks. Bowyer locking all your commands is such an elegant way to incorporate the plot into gameplay. And it happens to be the first fight with three party members to begin with.
Love how Bowyer complains about dirty tricks when he locked all our buttons! I do adore the Triple Moves, though. Not just for power, but I love the animations for them all.
Nice Rainbow Road reference on the triple move, also the whole plot of collecting Macguffins (star pieces) to grant wishes is pretty much Dragon Ball Z. Faceplant counter: 2 this episode, 1 from Mario and 1 from Mallow 11 total
Ya the only triple move I used post game was the one that made you invincible for a few turns other than that bowers attack was really good at melting dosses down :)
Time for the game that is just for us! 2:06 - 2:09 - It's ??? here to save the day! 5:08 - 5:20 - Somehow, I doubt he wants a fair fight. 5:55 - 6:00 - Hey! 6:18 - 6:43 - Called it!
(1:15) Aw, they removed the "Bruce Lee" part of that line. (5:14) Interesting that Bowyer now disables Toad Assists too. (5:22) Huh, I don't think it ever dawned on me that Bowyer obeys his own rules as well in the SNES version, assuming that was true back then in the first place. (5:27) Neat that the buttons have the original Super Famicom colors instead of just being all purple here. (5:35) Ah, now the star-charging gauge has 5 stars instead of 3, looks better, and it's clearer how it works. (6:29) Oh, this is new. And, it's a really neat way to introduce the brand new triple team gauge move. (7:34) At least the N64 Rainbow Road has rails on both sides of the track for the entire course. (10:25) Heh, they still have his name as "♥♪!?"... UA-cam, must you always turn that heart symbol big and red like that? What if I just want the normal-sized black one? (12:09) How much is speed boosted by exactly?
According to my source, Geno's Ally Buff with a Chain of 2 will boost Speed by 10%, a Chain of 3-4 boosts Speed by 20%, and a Chain of 5+ boosts Speed by 24%. For his physical attack buff, a Chain of 2 will boost Attack by 3%, a Chain of 3-4 will boost Attack by 6%, and a Chain of 5+ will boost Attack by 12%.
@@CassioFranco0211 I prefer not to rely on it, in case I break the timed hit chain. Equipment will be my primary means of boosting my Speed beyond the enemies.
I personally HATE the way the combo move is introduced at the end of the Bowyer fight. It takes the agency of winning this fight away from the player. I think it would have been better to introduce it after the fight. I just hate that in this version "I" do not Bowyer...a cutscene does.
I had never heard the term "bowyer" back when the original version of this game came out, and between his name and red hair I just assumed he was related to Bowser.
Mallow’s changed dialogue for the Switch version and HCBailly’s comments do beg the question as to who would win in a fight: Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris?

7:35 all those Mario Kart flashbacks coming back all at once.

6:43 is where Mallow points out that if Bowyer locked all of Y, X and A in the SNES version, you'd be screwed.
Given Bowyer's thought peek, one could say that he has fury.

1:19 Chuck Norris is in every game. He’s too tough to be removed from the code.
Triple Moves are kind of hilariously broken in the main story. They don't really balance out until the post game I feel.

Can't beleive Mario defeated the boss with a public service announcement.
Bowyer: Such feeble attacks. A vain attempt at revenge. Geno: TEAM METEOR! Oh wait, wrong game again. Hahahahaha
This battle is a lot of fun, with the fourth breaking.
As we all know, Chuck Norris is in Chrono Cross.
Make everyone into statues huh? Must've taken tips from Gnasty Gnorc.
The legend himself has finally joined the party!
Clint Bowyer? Nah, that's someone else.
Yeah. The forced tutorial does kind of slow down the end of the Bowyer fight.
Bulbasaur, fire the geno beam, wait that’s not right.
It’s still upsetting that they took out the Bruce Lee reference

Alright, thanks.
Can that speed boost be enough for making different strategies than what can be done in the SNES? Seems like there's potential in there

😆💎✌️
Appreciate the Wayne's World reference
Hammer? Trust me, I know what I’m doing!
What is bowyer’s favourite chocolate bar, AERO of course!
I shoot an arrow into the air, where it lands, enemies beware!!

You kept calling geno mallow last video btw hc
