    I started following RTV just few days ago .... I am impressed of how humble the person behind is... Giving different look at bikes ... Not the fast and loud brap brap brap style of giving inspirations ..... I love to see more ppl like you all around daily. Ty for showing that bike ( bikers ) are not always bastards and killing machines !!!!

    Interesting the "nothingness" as you say is one of the ironic goals of meditation. The concept you discribed is more or less that. Being able to choose or not choose the constructs of our psyche.
    What a pleasant surprise. Motorcycles really are amazing.

    Obviously what we can learn here is don't regret on what you're doing.there's a millions of people out there that have a different opinion on their perfect bike,some gonna like it and some are not.it's your bike anyway so you can do whatever you like to your bike. You express your feelings to your bike like a painter express their feelings to their paintings.when the bike came out the way that you want,the sense of originality is there,its like this is what I'm imagined.anyway thank you for this awesome video.

    My mind is generally nothingness most of the time- resulting in hundreds of hours per week of conscious nothingness

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  10 років тому

      Lol.Well, if you are conscious of the nothingness, that means that you are being conscious of something. And that's the big issue. When I say nothingness,I mean the moment in which your conscious is totally empty.This is one of the things that is very difficult to explain, but is possible to understand.When you achieve this goal, you'll realize that is exactly what I wrote.

    OK, and I don't disagree with your examples of how to set your mind for creativity. But a significant part of my approach to beauty is how functional is the end result? To creativity, does the object bring a new relevance to the domain within which the object is positioned. I just don't get the bike with two shocks where the gas tank usually resides. It certainly is different, it may very well be creative but to what end was it created? Simply visual?

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  9 років тому

      Roy Fileger Yes, you're right. These 2 bikes are a pure visual exercise. Just like in automotive industry, before the launching of a car model, there are also the presentation of a prototype, from where the main ideas come from.These 2 bikes have some amazing details, which can inspire us to make something different in your cafe racer project.Just as you said, a pure visual exercise. Thank for sharing your comment. Cheers.

    Nothing comes from nothing! Everything comes from our experience whether we are aware of that or not! Different isn't necessarily better and baroque isn't necessarily beautiful. On what race track would these "works of art" qualify as "Cafe Racers"?

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  9 років тому

      Roy Fileger I think i didn't explain myself enough in this video.The mail goal of this video, is to teach a method to reach our creativity.And to reach our best creativity, we need to clear our minds, and eliminate all the mental "noise". And this is what i call of "nothingness".The bikes presented in the video, are just an example of originality. They have nothing to do with Cafe Racers.In my opinion, these bikes are not only different, but also very original. Why? Because i never saw anything like it. Don't you think? Cheers.

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  8 років тому +1

      +David Fernandez To be honest, i think is very hard evaluate the beauty, or ugliness in these bikes. They aren't exactly pure motorcycles, and neither bicycles. But as you said, the originality is all in there. And this is the main subject of this video. How to reach the Originality. :) Thanks for sharing your comment. Cheers.

    I'm sorry but i couldn't disagree more with the Thomas Edison part. He is not a man of honor, most of his inventions are just stolen works of other people. The man, who deserves the most to be mentioned when talking about creativity is Nikola Tesla - "The man who invented the 19th century".
    Stil love your videos, man. Keep them coming

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  8 років тому

      I respect your opinion my friend, although this isn't the main subject of this video. But from what i heard, Most Edison inventions, are the result of combinations of other inventions without any practical use.
      I believe his creativity, can be proven by having make them work properly.
      Just like a Writer that never invents words. He just join words to create something. :) But thanks for sharing your opinion. Cheers.

    Try this on... the properties of finding a good female life partner are not simply based on percieved beauty. Worship of beauty for it's own worth is the folly of the unconfirmed. However..... if you want to attract attention to compensate for your insecurities build a bike such as this. Where will you ride it? how must it be ridden? As form takes precedence from function this is what you get.
    What is promoted on this
    "cafe racer" site is that loose in it's application it has lost the association of the name tag.
    you need definition that suits what you promote. You keep referring to "cafe racer" and band it about with reckless frequency. The name "cafe racer" has a origin and style that is defined and not transportable as a bag of potatoes as you would have people believe.
    I know you don't get it and most likely never will. There is a word known as TRADITON.
    If wish to disrespect what is traditional that's ok, just have the integrity not to ride a wave that is your own. That is how, if you succeed, you will earn you due respect.

    • @RACER_TV
      @RACER_TV  8 років тому +1

      I don't understand why you are complicating things so much.
      Most cafe racer enthusiasts are just guys that appreciate a certain kind of motorcycles.

      It's hard enough to derive true and genuine pleasure in this world as it is, so I tend to side with your philosophies RACER TV, rather than getting mired down in technical arguments with people who don't seem to understand the old proverb, "To take with a grain of salt."
      Sure, there are the occasional motorcycles that I've seen that make me scratch my head too(Regarding the classically "Cafe Racer" oriented versions, but that will not take away my joy that I get from you guys here at RACER TV. Keep up the great work, guys. :-)
