The majority of bird cages on the market today come equipped with a pull-out drawer. One of the disadvantages of a pull -out drawer is that often the drawer itself is smaller than the cage base. This means that the bird waste often misses the drawer, dropping on to the base, thus forcing you to dismantle the cage in order to clean the base as well as the drawer - a time-consuming and messy process. With the Vision bird cage we've eliminated the drawer. The no drawer cage design simplifies cleaning - just detach the cage and empty the contents of the base into the waste bin.
I believe the Vision Bird Cage is the best cage on the market at this time. The debris guard guarantees you will have little to no mess on the outside of the cage!!
oh my god. thank you. i've just wasted about an hour trying to find out how do i clean this cage. good thing i found this vid. :D
Thanks for your information
I've had one of these cages for a year and a half now and I do really like it a lot. My only complaint is the little doors on the bottom for putting the food in. They break off really easily. I don't even use them and it was only a few weeks before they were broken. The pins that hold the door in could be much heavier.
The vision cages are fantastic!
Even birds who have just been introduced to the cage will migrate towards the top perch when it comes time to clean the bottom. It's a quick lift and back down to the table. The birds will quickly learn the routine and will automatically go to the top of the cage when it comes time for a cleaning.
Rolf C. Hagen Inc. the cage I just purchased will not detach, & looks nothing like this video. This should be updated.
Life Raft I finally figured it out!! But honestly it just didn’t work for my bird. Thank you so much for the reply!!
Life Raft 👍 glad it worked for you & the birds!
Vision cages are made in environmentally friendly conditions, using the latest state-of-the-art manufacturing processes with emphasis on low-waste pollution. They are made of low-carbon, rust-resistant wire with a lead- and zinc-safe paint finish. This ensures that birds enjoy a safe, secure and comfortable home.
The biggest cage I would honestly recommend is the L12. There is no point in getting the smaller cages as I feel like they are an inappropriate size to keep birds, but the L12 is an acceptable compromise for people looking for a roomy cage for their birds that's small enough to fit nicely in their bedrooms or table. The L12 also allows you to somewhat customize the height. Overall it's acceptable for small parrots like budgies, cockatiels, and conures. The biggest bird that can fit in here would be the Hahn's mini-macaw.
The perches that come with this cage is not the greatest and I would recommend replacing them with something else as soon as possible, the food bowls as well aren't the greatest as well and should honestly be better quality since the selling point of this cage is the fact that the seed guards are so unique and actually do work, but the food bowels are just terrible quality. That being said, these things arent deal breakers as you can easily replace the perches and food bowels with things that are better quality.
Clean up is also made easy IMO
Oh my god I'd love one of these cages. Just to cut down on how much cleaning I have to do with my cage at the moment! I have a wee conure, I love him but he does like to throw his seed everywhere. One of these cages would make me life so much easier.
Are you guys planning on making a deeper cage? 1/2 in bar spacing, maybe 26 - 32 inches wide by 20-24 inches deep......36 x 24 ...... something like that. Also, stainless bowls, instead of plastic. Maybe an attachment so you could add a playstand on the top that locks on, and can also be used by itself
Yes, I want one with these features!
Yeah its normal they do that! Once they get old they might hang a little lower when their opened, kinda like my doors. They no longer stick outwards and straight. I've had the cage for like 3-4 years now?
Would be nice to be able to order parts such as base and debris shield. The ones I have found cost the same as a new cage itself so your forced to pitch the old cage to get a new part which means just purchase a new cage. Sadly this to me is not environmentally proactive otherwise I love the cages.
Bought some parts on Amazon
Luv this, getting the small.
You may use other perches, however please keep in mind the bar spacing of the model cage you choose.
Wire spacing (center to center) of the Small wire versions: 12.3 mm (0.48")
Wire spacing (center to center) of the Large wire versions: 20.5 mm (0.81")
Are these cages safe for a green cheek?
hello I have the large version for my budgie you know the pivoting doors which pivot in and out and also act as a landing platform...well mine pivot ok in and out one sticks a little but they only form a landing platform when pivoted inward not outwards? Is that how it's supposed to be?
I like the design but i think that if you don't have a bird that is tamed yet he's gonnaa fly away if you get the bottom of the cage of to clean it, right?
Time to update this video to HD and or 4K.
Could someone help me? What is the difference between vision m01 and m11?
@coolb1474 you can get this cage in bigger sizes! I have the regular large one and my two budgies are very happy with it :)
Nice video.....however, my new cage has a VERY difficult “process” for detaching from the base. I’m not even sure it’s possible.
Hello. The video states that larger wiring cages (such as M11) are suitable for Parrotlets. However I researched this and many sources state that the recommended wire spacing for parrotlets are 0.5 inches (12.5 mm). So I am a bit confused. Which cage is better for a parrotlet, an M11 or an M01? Which spacing is better?
my budgies love taking a bath do they have a bird bath for them? Hope there not to expensive. Gonna check for a vision cage.:) Amazon?
What is your website so I can buy one
Can I get the L12 cage for 2 budgies?
do you know what size would be good for a lovebird?
Are other perches compatible with this cage. I'm thinking that I should move my budgies to a bigger cage and this is the one I like. Although there is a number of people saying to not use the perches they provide.... (Can you tell I'm new at this? XD )
Is the wires zinc plated or is it painted? If so, what is the content of the paint?
So why is my cages coating chipping?
Awesome cages love them but the big leap to reach the bars to climb is a big one and the perches suck but you never get the best perches with and cage....I LOVE THIS CAGE FOR MY PARROTLET'S
Will this work for a green cheek?
Why didn't you make this video HD?..
I wish the food cups were metal or ceramic, though.
How I can get one
I want one!!!!
Has anyone ever hung the cage from an extremely secure ceiling hook?
does the cage come with any options to hang it verses placing it on a table or cage stand?
Help! My budgies won't go to bottom and eat the seed!! I think there scared of the bottom :(
You can get different food or water bowls and easily hang them up in the cage :)
How and where can I buy one? Please suggest the aize of cage that would fit five cockatiels.
Amazon. com ...
I agree with Emma, 5 is too many for these cages. I have two in the largest one at my store. I think it's the medium one? Two is the most I would put in it.

I have 2 Senegal parrots and they are content with their medium size vision cage LESS mess!!!
the bar spacing looks to large
I am looking for a cage that has 2slide out treys for easy cleaning. Lifting out a cage is not as easy as it seems especially if there are a lot of toys not only do you have to be careful about lifting the cage but where to set it that is the problem I don't want to put it on the floor but I don't have space to put it on a table 2 smaller treys are a lot easier to clean less expensive for liners or other stuff a person can use at the bottom. I have seen this set up so I know it is out there just don't know where to get them
in my opinion I have a vision M02 for the $67.55 price compared to the $100 prices most cages have, I willing to clean it that way, just saying.
I'm not sure what type of experts were creating the base, but I can defiantly say that it would be very nice to have an option to connect to a pull out tray for easy cleaning. I have mo2 and its very uncomfortable to snap, unsnap, lift up and so on. When I'm not around, my child has to do it and she is defiantly not comfortable to do it. why not to have an option of different bottom ???? I'm just saying that Chris and I are not just 2 people that asking the same question. !!!
I'm also considering to buy extra base, cut the bottom off and modify somehow, because I can see that Hagen not interested in other peoples opinion.
Two perches? And both plastic? No, no, no, you need natural curved wooden perches! (For the love of your bird not bloody DOWEL RODS, these nasty 'perches' come with new cages and they are the WORST thing to let your bird perch on all day, if you are a new bird owner or have one currently, PLEASE for your birds sake, look up why they are a bad idea! (Or if you want, I could give you a huge list right here why dowel rods are so awful) You should always use natural shaped or perches from outside because they are the best! These birds in the wild would never ever have problems as they don't use plastic or man made dowel rods. That's not to say they are all the same, I know you can buy man made perches with curves and natural looking ones imitating a branch, but most people will go for the 'bargain' cheap dowel rods which is bad for your birds health (The legs, nails, etc). Please use the sort that they can naturally file their nails and beak on! They can also chew them, help get some fibre in them when they need it and be a hell of a lot better than those shitty plastic ones (Or the dowel rods or anything that is straight without character or curves) for their feet. But the best thing I think is that they are FREE. Most people can find them in the backyard. With birds, you must have different kinds of perches available (Sizes, textures, etc), so your bird can choose which ones they feel most comfortable with. For all you know, they hate them, but have no other choice. Its mean, and not healthy at all. Another thing, why would you put the food at the bottom of the cage? They will poop in that so much (Regardless if there is a perch above it or not), not very hygienic. And most birds tend to eat up high on a branch as it is not natural to go to the ground to forage.
o-o sorry never mind XD
This is honestly the worst cage I have ever owned, the clear bottom got scratched up almost immediately and the birds always pooped in their food and water and all the food and toys they played with at the top, all the rubbish fell into their water and to change them I had to lift the entire cage from the base every time and with toys its super heavy! Also the tray is really awkwardly shaped so you cant put newspaper in the bottom as all the sides and middle are curved, the top pannel always us
The top pannel always used to fall down onto my bird because of the weight of toys ect its such a rubbish unstable cage, its a bird cage so youd think they would make it with the ability to house a bird and its toys. My bird nibbled all the paint work off the bars its not hard wearing at all. Such a terrible cage dont waste your money on it!
