Hey!! Welcome , new Co-Miyavii-chan! Your new favorite is an amazing person and I'm sure you choose perfect! I hope you will love your new fanbase! Be with Miyavi! ♡ ~I'm just a Co-miyavi since 2008 and i am so happy cause of new fans ^^*
I'm new as well! Like why haven't I encountered music or news about him??? Considering I'm into Visual Kei, and I so happen to listen to J-pop & J-Rock. How is that possible? I can't even answer that (>.
Julia Draw I think he might just be really concentrated as English isn’t his first language and there is accents and such , or that he might be a little self conscious about his accent and being understood.
Jack O'Connell is phenomenal because he seems a completely different person, the first time I saw him I thought he wasn't the same actor because of the dyeing hair and the accent, and then I saw he was british, so he does an amazing job not just acting, which is brilliant, also with the accent, you can't hear any whisper of his thick accent. I fell in love with him in this movie and then I watched Starred Up and '71 and wow! every film I see of him leaves me speechless. He's so underrated, in my honest opinion he's one the best uprising actors nowadays, hopefully the time will give him the success he deserves.
EverbodyLovesMegamix I was as confused as you at first and I watched his films in the same order. Loved him in Unbroken and then was amazed that it was him in Starred up and 71. Such British films. The accent was hidden so well. He did seem like an entirely differnt person. I really think that with his amazing performances that he will go far. That people will know its not a gamble to have him a major film. Pure talent.
spikeycat81 Yes, he is indeed. Thank you for your answer, it's so good to see that other people are interested and it was great you shared your perspective as well ;)
Emary Aguayo Yes, I know, and I've seen some scenes of him so it seems he does a really great job in the series as well, thank you for the recommendation ;)
I've thought he was brilliant ever since I watched him in Skins and he managed to make me go from hating his character, to only caring about his character.
British accent is so hard to understand specially for non native English speakers , to be honest even I find it hard sometimes to catch up on some of the words , I am amazed by Miyavi english :3
Jolie is spot on about decent men playing best villains, think of Gregory Peck as Ahab in Moby Dick or Henry Fonda as Frank in Once upon a time in the west. Miyavi is in this category and plays the role superbly.
To be honest, i think miyavi is lack of confidence, cause seeing his interview is like watching him doing a speech and i've already seen three of his movie-related interviews, all the content he said on these interviews were basically the same, especially the word "controversial" and his 8 years experience of learning English. I don't know if he has prepared a speech draft or he has found out he did great in an interview and want to use the content of that interview in others, but i think his english level is already good enought for him to jump out of his comfort zone and doing some impromptu talks.
I don't agree with you. Miyavi is from another country, culture, and even more important, the language. It's really hard when u don't speak English language fluently because you can't relax you have to focus on what is being said and translate in your mind, react to what is being said and pur in your two cents, it's really hard BELIEVE me but it's not because of lack of self confidence!!
I would say his english is better than most of the other japanese. It feels to me that japanese people do struggle more with learning english than people from other countrys. It's not that you have to learn it and it is of course a different culture, but everybody knows that it is an advantage to communicate in the world when you're able to speak some propper english. I am always positivly surprised when there is a japanese who speaks english as good as Miyavi.
well, what determines what language is easiest for you is the language you originally speak. I think english is more difficult for japanese people than, say, for people who speak germanic or romance languages
english is specially hard for them because phonetics and sentence structure bruh. spanish, french, portuguese and english can all be spoken in south america tho
Miyavi posture and fashion compared to the others
Joyous japanese touch... 😉😉😉

Don’t mind me, I’m distracted by Miyavi’s perfect posture

i’m so thankful all of these comments are just about how perfect miyavi is
holy fck, Miyavi was my idol in my teens. Haven't seen him in a few years. So a shocker to see him so different. Came here for Finn at first.
When Miyavi, a rockstar, has better posture and looks more sophisticated than you, I feel like you just gotta up your game aka these guys do.
Um, no, just cultural differences. It’s not that serious.
There’s nothing wrong with being relaxed. It’s just an interview 😂
Miyavi looks so shy when he have to speak English! So different of his interviews during the VK era! Btw, he's so classy!
Julia Draw its not shy, when u speak another language u will feel how it feel
Julia Draw I think he might just be really concentrated as English isn’t his first language and there is accents and such , or that he might be a little self conscious about his accent and being understood.
Hahah VK MYV.. I miss those days.
Miyavi is the best! I'm so proud of him! QwQ

Miyavis english compared to most other Japanese artists is amazing

Jack had his start in the Uk teen drama Skins! So if you want to see more of him you should watch that series he's such a great actor!

Miyavi is in this category and plays the role superbly.
I'm sorry but I laugh everytime miyavi looks away when the interviewer looks at him 😂

You do realise you're talking about the great Miyavi right? No confidence, really?
