Sara the only secret talent that you have is that you aren’t as popular as you should be. You are amazing as a creator. Your content is always great. And you are just great as a person. You make everyone smile just by being their presence. I am so glad that I jumped on this band wagon that you are leading.
John Hussey her time will come. If this was a few years ago with this level of content she’d be over 500k, trust me.
Sara Dietschy: Vlogger, filmmaker, entertainer, pro juggler, media personality, athlete, Independent business woman, and musician?? Such an inspiration!! Am I missing anything???
Matt Guardiola waifu of a pro skater who is also just like her xD 🔥🤘🔥
Yes, she is such a slacker. :)
Matt Guardiola idk probably like, writer, animator, “influencer”, producer, composer
former programmer ; )
Don't forget Halo player
Hell yeah 🔥 Would be pretty cool if you made some guitar covers / music related content in the future
Yes please!!! A cover would be niiiice!
It doesn't even need to be a stand alone video, she could start just putting some clips of her jamming in the outro or intro, with a montage over it or something.
Both of you should collab!!
yeah you wail, i'd love to hear what your guitar toolbox can do being weird on originals
OMG PLEASE SARA MAKE GUITAR VIDEOS
LOVE hearing you play the John Mayer Trio stuff!! Some of my favorite stuff to jam on!!
The Groovy Guitar Dude - Daily Guitar Lessons I LOVE SWITCHFOOT!!!
Your living the dream. You figured out what a lot of us are still searching for. Hearing you talking about your journey gives me the reassurance that what I'm doing now can be the foundation for the life I want in the future and that sometimes that "crazy dream" is the blessing you deserve.
Awesome!!! Blackbird is my favorite song to play on guitar, you do it beautifully
Atticus Dickson I LOVE SWITCHFOOT!!
I love hearing stories like this. I've been blessed to have the opportunity to tour and travel the country playing everything from bars to coliseums, and now doing UA-cam. Even if you stop playing for years, music just never will fully leave you. :)
It's crazy how much we have in common. I'm from Houston, Tx. I played basketball in high school and dreamed of playing professionally, but it didn't work out so I focused on music playing for my church band (mostly drums) and occasionally leading worship on guitar. I'm still heavily involved in music, but I've been combining my passion for music with my new love for filming, cameras and UA-cam. I never knew the reason I related to you so much. Now I know.
H4R1TH 4L1 What do you mean?
This is so organic and original. It's like a creative spaces but toned down and more about you. It's raw and personal and you literally ROCK on that guitar. Sara, this is my new favorite video.
I definitely know what you're talking about! Music is one of my first loves in life
This may sound weird but what I love about you Sara is that you’re just so real. Like you’re past isn’t paved in destiny but lots of discovery and life choices. You rarely hear of such honest and candid stories and you’re just so chill about sharing it. Ok, love ya, bye!
This is legit my favorite video, I hope this means you’re gonna start putting more stuff like this in your videos!
So inspiring seeing how you were sort of lost the same way I am at this moment in life and then you found your passion and now you’re SO talented at so many things. Thanks for being such an inspiration man.
Ultimate crush. Basketball, plays John Mayer, Switchfoot, Beatles. Plays in church. All of my childhood and life packed in this video.
This feels more honest and real than anything I've ever seen you do. I am entirely supportive of your musical career
Hey Sara! I just got out of ICU for high blood pressure yesterday. I spent Christmas eve and Christmas in there rewatching you and John's vids. Helped me get through because i was kinda scared being hooked up to machines...I just wanted to say thanks to you and John to help me through this ordeal. Keep being beautiful people and killing it and i'll always stay peachy! ❤ Love, Andrew
I think Switchfoot was every millennial church kid's fav band growing up
Benjamin Brizuela haha true
100 percent true 😂
Still is
i like Switchfoot and im not even religious. i do believe in God, but i don't practice any kind of religion.
As a millennial church kid myself, I agree with this statement.
I just got chills when you said you could play Switchfoot. I was literally thinking of “Meant to Live” and then you played it. You are the G.O.A.T.
the fact you started playing blackbird was honestly surreal to me. It's the very first song I learned and still the one I start out with 95% of the time
Girrrrrl! Switchfoot is my jam! So happy to find that you loved them as well
I too went through the sacrifice of no friends no partying blah blah. I've even lost close relatives and couldn't attend funerals. I gave up everything including standard living, to learn the guitar. I lived and played the streets of NYC for almost 20 years looking for opportunities . Eventually I lost my flat in Rockaway after hurricane Sandy and this event caused me to re-evaluate or "wake up" and really look at the ever changing world and not the bubble I formed around myself. I lived in my 60's wannabe Jimi Bubble and had humbled myself on living on very little income and only the guitar as long as I wasn't on the cold streets and only by grace of God I escaped that but after loosing my home in Rockaway I've been back and forth to my home state of Virginia slowly catching up of (20 years of being lost in time) and rebuilding and trying to get back into the world. My guitar keeps calling me but I am no longer the young dashing risk taker I used to be and this is no longer the same world it was 20 years ago. and I am tired of living in Lack for the sacrifice of passion . But I have made some upgrades and will marry the two lives .Anyways you and I both have a love of Macs and NYC and now Guitar which is how I found your vids. and with that being said "Firewire Jimi" is set to finish making upgrades down here in Virginia and due for a return to NYC real soon as this video has encouraged me to stick with what I know best and what I've sacrificed most of my life for anyways. You have a New follower Now, keep up the Good Work.
Sara, I thought you were cool before this, now I admire you and appreciate you much much more!!!
Nicccccce, super cool Strat. Loving the Mayer vibes. 🙌🏻✨
In school we had special classes for music or sports. I went to a music oriented class, played guitar in a school orchestra, in a school band, then another band, played here and there. And I love to play on stage! Then there are special trips where you go with your band or orchestra, just to play together for whole days in a row. I love making music, feeling the rhythm.
It's ironic that this video was recommended to me. I'm in my 60s and did the same thing you did. I played in bands from the mid-60s thru the 70s. Started to burn out and switched to photography and had a great career. Sold most of my gear for camera equipment back in the early 80s. The only guitar I kept was a Martin D35. About 10 years ago, I started to miss all the gear I'd sold off and started to try and replace it. The only problem, what was a used guitar in the early 70s, are collector's items now, worth tens of thousands of dollars. Having to settle with a lot of reissues, but I'm so glad getting back into music. On a side note, nice to see someone into Gretsch. Really miss my 65' 6120.
4:22 nice Windows Vista jacket, Sara's dad! 😂😂😂
I really loved this video. it's definitely my favorite upload of yours. I thumbed-up!
I'm musician, also into computer stuffs because of my career (I'm a software engineer.) Started playing guitar at a big church too. (Still playing in the same church) I got goosebumps when you mentioned Switchfoot and start playing Meant to Live because for me there's no band like SF.. Their music inpacted my life. They are my favorite band till now. And like you, music and faith changed most of me and how I see life itself.
Wow. I must say you are now my favorite UA-camr. Like seriously. 😊😊
Video Idea: tell us more about your church life and music.
I literally went NUTS when you started playing Meant to Live!! Switchfoot is one of my favorite bands!!! Very well done, I may add.
Video Editing brought me out of my highschool slump. College has a way of testing all of your commitments, but I'm still holding on to my love for the visual medium. You're an inspiration to all creators Sarah. Keep going. Keep growing.
You are such a bundle of talent Sara - one girl so much skill! 🙌
I just found this channel and hearing you talk about your ambitions from your childhood really made me think about mine. My dad bought me guitar at age 10 so I could learn. Unfortunately, I gave up on that because I didn't have the patience to persevere and after half a decade of selling my guitar, I now regret not learning when I had the chance. I also love videography ever since I took a class in high school about cinematography and film analysis. I really want to turn these ambitions into reality but I don't know where to start. I'm 16 entering my senior year of high school, but I haven't had the confidence to make anything happen.
P.S.
Switchfoot was also one of my favorite bands growing up.
I normally don't comment but I wanted to give props. This video was so awesome! The storytelling and editing was even better than normal. Very inspiring!!
Ahh I love that switchfoot song!!!! Makes me think of memories at church summer camp! Loved seeing more behind the scenes about who you are and seeing the music side of you. Super cool! Stay peachy!
This might be my favorite video of yours ever!!! Great job! Thanks for being transparent and “letting us in” what make you, you.
😂 John at the end 😂
Great video and story! As someone who played in the orchestra for most of my time in public school I can relate to you a lot. The power of creating music is a very powerful and magical experience. Keep up the good work!
I didn't know you play guitar! This video really spoke to me cause I also found the guitar when I was in school and it really helped me through some hard and difficult times. I've now played guitar for about 12 years and I'm a lead guitarist in two bands in my home town here in Sweden. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, you're quite awesome :)
Sara this is so cool, electric guitar is literally my passion. I totally respect you selling your music stuff to follow your passion, but I would miss the heck out of each and everyone of my guitars. Also, I totally get where you are coming from, I thought I was going to be playing football in college, but then I got injured and couldn't play anymore. I then found my real passion in music and guitar. ALSO, I LOVE SWITCHFOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are my new favorite youtuber
OHMYGOSH you know Jon! I know Jon! Seeing people light up talking about what they love is the best.
SARA WTF! You elevated from from 100% coolness too 200%!
Guitar playing and playing John Mayer! OMG!
Fun fact Sara, I work in a store called ‘Peach Guitars’!
As i have been a fan of john hill for a very long time and knowing this makes me love your channel a whole lot more. Im from Louisiana and ive been playing guitar for 16 years now and i actually won a few contest in Corpus Christi Texas about 4 years ago.
I want more minutes of you playing a guitar
Love to see someone with so many talents get recognised!
There truly is nothing like playing on stage. I love it so much.
The scare at the end was great!!! Too funny. 😂😂
I got into DAW music composition software, so I could score my own videos, without fear of copyright infringement OR using crappy "royalty free" music and loops ... THAT led me to guitar and I am NEVER lonely when I am practicing and playing guitar. ... You inspire me to SUCK LESS !!
Always good to see someone getting back to their roots!!!
"Music was my north star when nothing else was" -- Sara this was so true for me in high school as well. I'd played guitar for around 10 years and had a little jazz trio with these twin brothers at my school who played bass and drums. In high school I feel like there aren't many things to pour your time and energy into except for athletics, and being a serious athlete as a teenager only goes so far. But music was my escape hatch, and it taught me so much about creativity and patience and diligence, all of which I still use today. Anyways I love what you're doing with this channel!
Wow... Sara. Blessed with many talents! John Mayer and Switchfoot are pretty much my favs. The album "The Beautiful Letdown" changes everything for me... Keep up the great work in producing cool contents!
Sara, Dont know how i missed this video before but i really enjoyed it. Your honesty and vunerabality in this one allowed more of your personality to shine through. Have a great day.
She is soooo cool!!! That switchfoot song brought back so many memories. Remember the NOW CDs.
*settles in to watch her latest vlog* , *spits out drink when she’s in front of my target in Dallas* , *continues to be amazed at her talent* you’re amazing.
OMG, I LOVE the clips of you playing basketball. That is pretty awesome. Got a couple of nice moves there. Thanks for sharing those.. I see you in a new light now.
XD Tightening up the nut on the jack... priceless. Same thing I do whenever I pick up my Strat.
Music and Video
Just want you to know that I got to know your channel because of a pedal review a few years ago, and it's been a loooong long journey for both of us. May we never get bored of having this artistic spirit in our lives haha your boy from brazil :*
This video-music, church, Switchfoot-perfect.
I really enjoyed today's installment. I hope you do bring your guitar back to New York and play it during those rare times when you're not doing a dozen other things. Your talent on the instrument is obvious.
It's so cool that you're a musician/guitarist in addition to all the camera content- you sound dope. Would honestly love to see more music stuff on your channel :) (I love Switchfoot btw)
Sara, Greetings from Poland. I have a John Draper Built Guitar that I play all the time here. I used to live in Tarrant County and bought it from a mutual friend of John's Best playing and sounding guitar I have ever owned.
I always love the music on your videos and most of my comments are always kinda linked to how good the music it is. I LOVE SEE YOU PLAYING...
I hope your "bug" is a real thing and we get to see more and more music in the channel. I'm excited!
I love switchfoot and I think I’m going to start playing guitar at my church this is honestly the best video you have ever made. Such an inspiration love all your videos thanks for the good feels
The amount of love I've got for this video is epic. Amazing talented person you are. And heck yeah to switchfoot!
So dope you had a Badcat. The singer in my band had a Matchless which has obviously changed to Badcat but. The tone... the tone!!
Thats so awesome!! I was in a band though high school and for a while after!! It really did change my life too Because of my music "Career" it landed me jobs doing sound and then eventually my career now. The career I have now is what led me to making videos and now here I am!! Its so awesome what music can do for someone! Changes their lives!!
Thanks for doing what you do!
You're such a 90s kid and I love it! Keep making music!!
Omg Switchfoot was my favorite band growing up! Super cool to see you playing an old favorite!
I love your story, Sara! I can totally relate to this! Short version is that I started beatboxing in the middle of high school after I went through a rough patch and became so obsessed with it that I eventually made it into the Canadian Championships in 2013! Then I transitioned into video as well two years ago!!!
I love that you started with Blackbird. Such a beautiful song.
Ha! That’s awesome. As soon as I saw the Bad Cat I knew you had a background in worship music - before you mentioned it anyway. I used to play electric at Metro in Houston back in the day.
Wow, my high school experience was nearly exactly the same. I was a lone wolf, joined a worship band and learned to play music. I even eventually played in the main services, and formed a side band too. You should look up "Chelsea Sinking". We were basically a switchfoot cover band in denial.
Damn, you’re good! Coming from a musician. That guitar was nice too. I have quite a few. I have a Dean Dimebag Darrell Signature, a Mexican Strat with Yngwie Malmsteen pickups, a Washburn acoustic, and 2 Schecter Hellraisers (a 7-string and an 8-string). I’m getting a Marshall stack soon, and probably either a Schecter Banshee Elite-8 or another Strat.
Gavin Blackshear just bought a used supro holiday and it should be coming tomorrow! They were these old res-o-glass guitars that sears sold. Jack white uses one, can’t wait!
I really love it when you say "byeiiie!" 😊
very inspirational Sara, you came a long way. and you left a trail of talent in your tracks. I look up to you because you make the creative process seem so natural. im happy for you that you found your way. wish I could play guitar. might dust mine off out of the shed and try it one more time.
Nice. Fender strat. I used to play too. I stopped to do videos too. I still have 3. Need to pick it up again. I also lived in Dallas. 😂😂😁
Geeks Life hey! Dallas brother! Get out there with it! Music is incredible no matter how your life goes
I used to sing at my youth group for a few years I loved every bit of it. Fell away for 6 years but now back the last 4 years and been one of the leaders the youth group here at the new church. Amazing experiences. Everything you been through was for a purpose! 🤗 And we used to sing meant to live at church too lol
Best, best, best, best, best, best video ever! Cried and everything! You're so awesome at what you do Sara 😄😄
Hello, I just wanted to let you know I think you are very talented your music and photography. Happy to have subscribed. Hope to maybe see more guitar fun stuff 😉🎸🐙. Keep up the great work
every time you talk about your guitar years I love the video...
This was a fantastic video. I think most of your videos are pretty great but I thought the storytelling in this one was /_absolutely_\ superb!!!
OMG... I was totally obsessed with playing "Meant to Live" and "Dare you to move" back in the day as well!
One always has to play 'Blackbird', regardless of whether the guitar is acoustic or electric :)
Really liked your playing. Thanks for the video.
Single coils and Greenbacks/V30 is something special. That combo has seen so many records
Thanks for sharing this side of your life Sara! Music is so powerful and I think many can relate to how you felt (myself included) and will be encouraged to seek out what they are passionate about. Also, Switchfoot was huge for me as well in regards to getting into music so it was fun/nostalgic to hear you mention them. Thanks for continuing to keep the dope videos coming. Here's to 2018!!
Hey Sara . Really enjoyed your video today. Next time you visit Dallas home you should talk about how your dad cut the cord. I like several others would probably like that. Your guitar playing is beautiful. Thanks Sara. Peachy fam
AND BOOM! - Play Blackbird in full! One of my favs! great vlog!
No Joke! YOUR BEST "GET TO KNOW SARA" video ever. Great job!
You rock Sara! Great playing! You have so many talents.
I haven’t watched in awhile, great one to come back to. I recently picked up my trombone again after too long of a hiatus. Excited to see where this goes!
Loved this video. I also had a band in high school and stopped playing when I moved from MN to AZ. Good stuff.
You’re so fricken talented and you do so many things! John is a lucky dude!
i can't stop laughing at john sneakin up on you!!!!! omg 😂😂😂
Sooooooo coooollll I dont really know u I just stumbled across this vid but you seem fun to hang around with!! And I love the guitar!! 🎸
Love the way you spoke about how you got to where you are this episode! Been subscribed for a while but this was a deep one! Keep on creating!
This is amazing! I’ve only been a part of the peachy fam a month or two now but I always love watching your videos! Being a musician myself, I feel even more connected with you and your content now! You and your multiple talents! Keep being amazing! -Mike
If you ever bring your guitar back to NYC, I hope you post some song covers or an original song or two if you have any!
Sara, you NEED NEED NEED to take that guitar to NYC and integrate it into your videos. It is SO cool to watch you play guitar. You are SO talented. 9:59 "We were meant to live for so much more, but we lost ourselves....."
Music was a big influence on my life when I was a teenager. Music kept me out of a lot of trouble as I would spend hours trying to figure out some riff or progression. I loved every minute of playing guitar with the band or alone, it didn't matter. I had my guitar, and I was sure I'd do awesome things with it.
In fact, before Dec. 8 1980, I had convinced myself that I could get the Beatles back together, and I was sure that they would agree. Some what moot these days.
I still play from time to time, just to enjoy the feeling of music flowing through me. It's something I will always enjoy.
Enjoy your music and "Rock On"!
Yes! More guitar please!
The more I know you via your videos, the more I realize how similar we are..
You're amazing! 🤘
