Help Protect Thornscrub Sanctuary

What started as an idea to restore degraded habitat by removing buffel grass and planting native species has turned in to an opportunity to protect highly diverse and intact thornscrub habitat in South Texas through our non-profit.
Our first step is acquiring land and protecting it. our second goal will be establishing a research station and education center for the study of the plants here, their pollinators, dispersers, beneficial soil microbes, and much more.
There is so little land like this left in South Texas, and so much has been lost already for things like border wall construction, solar farms and good old cancerous, futureless suburban automobile sprawl and strip-mall retail.
Help us protect this habitat. We are close to reaching our goal.
