  • Learn how to make project pavilion (hyperbolic shape design) in Revit.
Tutorial, in this tutorial, I''ll show you a quick tip to create hyperbolic shape design; To make that we create our conceptual mass combination with our 4 point adaptive component for structure.

Just curious, why did u choose to create the Hyperbolic Design in another Massing Project then import it back into the Architectural Template? Why should we not create an In-Place mass directly inside the Architectural Template? Please let me know :)

Well, just because of the right way to create concept design, we need to using conceptual mass template in order to make visualization before import in to Revit Architecture template, Well you can used Revit Architecture template to create hyperbolic shape or other complex shape but remember Autodesk clearly separate the visualization template (conceptual mass); Revit Architecture template, Revit Structure template, Revit Family...... Etc.
Those template totally different function and workflow. Just my experience on Autodesk Revit Project.

@@RevitGlobalKnowledge I see. What if I want to create a full hyperbolic architecture for a project and I need it to have windows, doors, sections, elevations and everything, like plumbing etc. Do I still draw the Hyperbolic in Massing project then import it back into Architecture Project? Or is it better to just “In Place Model” the hyperbolic directly in the Architecture project for this case?

I got what you mean, it's depend bro. For me I like to get shape of building or residential first only I continued add all those stuff door, window.... Etc . You need to think bro, everybody have their strength if direct in place mass is better on your workflows just continue make it. Actually I still highly recommend try to used conceptual mass to get your building shape first, only we started import to Revit Architecture or Model Mass in place.

@@RevitGlobalKnowledge yes hahaha. Because I model-in-place and in-place-mass directly in the Architecture Project most of the time (because I’m Lazy). And upon watching most of ur video I found this workflow which may be beneficial for me to adopt! Mainly because by using ur method (of creating a separate massing project then importing it into the architecture project), we get more control and we can edit the project anytime we want. Is that the benefit? Or is there more benefit I missed? Thank u so much!

Yes, mainly point you can control your workflows, BTW out of topics, I got alot of Singaporean friend and Malaysian friend most of them always lazy and try to make things easier. Mostly they like to do work easily get money, mean workless and get more incomes. Hahaha
