This has become my favourite Christian song of God’s marvellous love, grace and mercy by which He called me out of the kingdom of darkness into His glorious kingdom of light in Jesus Christ and the regenerating work of His Holy Spirit who now resides and abides and dwell within me. There can simply be no greater miracle than to know with John Newton the erstwhile slave trader that I who once was blind to the magnificence of God, Christ and His Holy Spirit have been enabled in the new birth to see the magnificence of what God did for me in Christ Jesus and receive a new heart and a new spirit from which to now live in Him and experience grace upon grace.
Love the hymns! It’s so sad most churches won’t sing them any more. There’s nothing more beautiful than corporate singing of the hymns and a choir also!!
The almighty God of the universe loved me so that He sent His Son, Jesus the Nazarene, to pay the penalty for my sins and then justified me to be in His presence forever. Thank you Father, thank you Lord Jesus - How Marvelous! How Wonderful!
