Nope, BT is wack. Too unreliable. And why would you want another thing you just have to charge and has limited battery life? Not to mention that after about a year or two it doesn't hold a charge for very long if it charges at all. A headphone jack is still a viable alternative.

Sid The Science Kid, the vertical direction is what I’m referring to. In the phone, the headphone jack piece is about as long as half an inch. I’m sure Samsung is eventually gonna take that 1/2 inch loss to prevent their S line from looking like the Note line.
Watching this in late 2019 I was gonna go with s10 but I then realized that s9 can hold up just as well

As a S8 owner. This is underwhelming but then again that's how revolutionary and a game changer the S8 is. I wasn't expecting a BIG change. This did make me appreciate my S8 a little bit more though 😏.

I think its good that Samsung implemented this new camera bc there is a lot of competition between both Samsung and Apple with all the different software and features, the fingerprint placement is indeed better and the S9+ would be the new phone to get in my opinion.

Your the only person i know online and off line, even in the Samsung flagship stores in London nor any moblie store who displays the S9 knew how to get the 240fps at 1080p turned on i had to look in my youtube for your video to show them how to do it...at first everyone said it doesn't do it ...but thanks to you i shown them that it does but i wanted to know if could keep record as long as you have hardisk space. So hats off to you and you should high light this factor.

In all honesty you can't really expect much to change. Smartphones have pretty much topped out at this point and Samsungs really come as fully loaded as phones are going to get. It's like with televisions; how much has really changed in televisions in the last three years? Not much. It's topped out.

I remember the Galaxy S9 was my 1st ever flagship Smartphone and I remember not being all that impressed with the camera. Stepping up from a budget phone the ZTE ZMax Pro the biggest noticeable upgrade to me was battery life. Everything else really didn't feel all that special or any better then what I already had on my Z Max Pro. After the Galaxy S9 I got a Razer Phone 2 which was an absolute disaster lol. At 1st it was nice it had a beautiful big 1440p screen that was very bright and sharp. The dual front facing speakers sounded great it was awesome but after about 6 months the USB-C port broke and could barely charge the phone. I'd either have to hold it all the way in or set my phone at a specific angle and it would have to sit absolutely still
And even if it did charge it would charge super slowly like an hour just to get to 15% it was a nightmare. Also the one of the speakers stopped working and all of this happened without me ever dropping the phone or getting it wet or anything it was water resistant so even if it did get wet it shouldn't have been a problem. Well the biggest pain came from the fact that for another 6 months after it broke Razer basically ignored any attempt I tried contacting them to get warranty services. Right up until like a few days before the Warranty expired and then they tried to deny me service until I proved to them I had been attempting to contact them to get Warranty service for the last 6 months. They finally gave in and repaired my phone only for it to be shipped back toe still broken. A few days after receiving it back it did the exact same thing with the stupid USB-C port not working. So I contacted Razer again to fix it again but while it was shipped away I got the new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. Now this phone has been an absolute dream it was works perfectly fine has a beautiful large screen and absolutely amazing camera. I have taken some of the most breath taking photos with this camera it's insane.

If you've got an S8 or a Note 8,it doesn't seem that you'd need to upgrade. It's got pretty much everything the S9 has outside of the new camera and a better Snapdragon. Oh, and Animojis. Lol.

I always buy a one year old used phone. With a careful check and 2 - 3 day money back guarantee, you'll end up with a still powerful phone, unnoticeable difference in battery life and a mid-range price. Also if you end up sell it the next year, it wont depreciate as much as if you sell it one year after bought it new. Unless of course if you buy it with contract.
Bugs Agent I feel the same way but I'm with vzw and I don't know what others did but if you pre ordered they let you have it for$15 (both models) a month, then after full release it went up to $30 and more maybe $36. So I'm on the fence. Maybe others too? Oh then it was later on at higher price they offered the bogo free. Ugh! Decisions!

Yup... kinda feels like an iPhone in the way where this is just a marginal generational upgrade. It's not really necessary unless you want the best of the best. Most of the new features, while cool and possibly useful, don't really justify spending that much money.

that would be a new design just for the sake of a new design. Last years design is still up there with the best phones, not sure what they could improve dramatically in a one year timeframe. Iris scanner is on the S8 as well. It's probably my favorite way to unlock my phone. It works in pitch black basicly because its Infared scanning your eyes.

Josh Kersey actually i heard samsung is saving their iphone x competitor for the end of this year. i feel like the s9 is just supposed to be a refresh of the s8 we saw last year. my theory is that samsung didn't want to skip the '9' like apple did and decided to just go ahead and pump out the s9 before releasing what's supposed to compete with the iphone x. we should probably expect another samsung release later this year.
