Thanks a lot man, now I know how am I going to fix my old laptop. I'm not good about components, but may I know what was that free slot near the wifi card for?
Hello bro, I need your help. I'm experiencing heavy thermal throttling on my laptop, It's a TOSHIBA satellite C850 B561, although it has been opened a lot of times I haven't actually cleaned the fan in 8 years. So basically Whenever my laptop is under load, the fan stops in between and I get major lag spikes in my games, I tried to undervolt my CPU but unfortunately my CPU can't be undervolted, It's an i3-2328m. So then I tried another option, I downloaded a program called throttlestop and I unchecked BD PROCHOT (Bi-Directional Processor Hot), So basically what this thing would do is that whenever your CPU gets hot it stops your fan or reduces your CPU power or something. But even though disabling this made my games run better, the laptop would automatically shutdown in 2 to 3 minutes. So I tried to disable auto shutdown using CMD, But that didn't help, So I tried locking my CPU to a certain stable clockspeed, that helped with the auto shutdown but my games still ran a bit trash than before. So then I thought maybe my fan is faulty or maybe my charger, but my fan didn't seem to make any type of noises when it was under stress and my laptop charger is from TOSHIBA as well. So what do you think I should do?, Do you think cleaning the fan, repasting the CPU and then setting my CPU clockspeed to a 100% with a cooling pad or something should help? Great channel BTW, keep on pushing.
The laptop is with intel hd vga, so it is not that hot. Basically you just need to clean the fan and replace the thermal paste with good quality one like Arctic mx-2 or mx-4. For 8 years the old thermal paste got harden and not taking the heat from the cpu properly. I think i have a video about c850 laptop

it is a memory slot. You can increase the memory of the laptop.
@@LaptopDisassembly thank you so much
@@LaptopDisassembly Hi, if i will upgrade my hard drive to SSD, what SSD sould i get?
These Asus are little picky about SSD. Try Kingston or Crucial. I had problems with A-data and Transcend on this model.
@@LaptopDisassembly hi my g, may i know what was the tape use in the fan?
after cleaning ,does the laptop work without the battery pack, my batt pack does not hold charge
You can use the laptop without battery. It will work only on charger.
