Ok, newbie tips -every map has a hidden black box that unlocks lore that you can check from the main menu -every map has an objective of killing a certain number of enemies. Once you get it, you will see a little mark in the minimap for a few seconds. There are the skulls You can find buildings that you can take control with marines like extra reactors or supplies -you have a "select all units" and a "select all units on screen", you can scroll with the mouse wheel through your different types of units - to use the special ability of the cobra, you have to pres R in a place and the cobra will deploy in that place until you select it an press R again. - Units can level up by killing enemies and will get a little star over the health bar, max level Spartans are OP
Great tips! I feel there’s so much to know about how to play this game well that I’m only just scratching the surface about. Definitely need to do a few run throughs. Awesome to hear max Spartan’s are OP (as they should be!!)
Halo Wars became such a core experience for me, that I have to go back once every year or so and play through it again. I absolutely love this game! There’s nothing quite like dropping dozens of ODST squads on top of the enemy, or leveling a mountain of grunts with vulture rockets.
@@uncivilrhumbus3297 so damn cool to hear, I genuinely am curious to see if I’ll find it replayable once I’m done but even as someone who never plays rts i can see myself getting hooked! A good excuse to spend a ton of time playing more lol
Thank you! Certainly considering it, genuinely watched the cutscenes of 1 and 2 again as background watching on the tv and these two games seem to have so much to offer
Don't worry, those tears can be wiped away cause the upgrades for the core units (Marines) OP. When someone picks Captain Cutter in Multiplayer, you know it's over.
Trying out Halo Wars Mods may or may not be worth a go, through they do require some base understanding of the game. The extra factions like flood are pretty neat.
There’s a flood mod? Now I have a huge reason to learn how to play this! Although I guess in hw2 perhaps there’s an ability to play as them, considering they’re in the storyline? I’m just guessing here, not played it
Dang, this is making want to play halo wars now 😅
I genuinely need to play through all these levels and find out what I’ve been missing 🫡
@@jeemojay man i should try that too

@@jeemojay The Flood is not a playable faction in hw2, you can however play it on PC using mods.
@Blackandfan great to know! Gotta check out the mod it seems 🫡
Check title, perfect is me? Perfect for me? Might want to change it lol
I definitely got it right the first time and didn’t have to edit that 👀🤥
@@jeemojay were it so easy.
