In a democracy, legislation cannot interfere with judiciary and vice versa. Similarly, revenue department cannot interfere with forest department and vice- versa. Hence, in the first place, knowing that the land was declared a protected forest, the revenue officials should not have given the patta in the first place. In this case, revenue department should be made responsible for this misuse of power. Who collects the land tax? Revenue department only not forest. this is definitely a case for overreach of someone else's jurisdiction. Ultimately,the public suffers cos of this. In the same way, forest department should also have made it clear by erecting boundary pillars or fencing of such protected or reserve forest area. Notice should have been issued time to time to remind people not to encroach upon such protected land.
This isn't the issue about any conflict between human and forest and it's produce, the conflict arise due to ignorance, and short term vision of human perspective thinking that human can survive on its own without forest..so protecting the land for forest is for the benefit of the generations of the future. 🙏🏻
We need to organise more campaigns and awareness regarding this reserved forest and protected forest .
