I need a bass playthrough now
Arguably the best bass player in Metal. Super knowledgeable on theory, versatility and just insanely good.
Totally agree
Maybe Sean Malone and Hugo/Forest from Beyond Creation/First Fragment have one more word to say, but definitly top tier in metal fretless bass. Love also his work in the Ensemble Salazhar and Salazh Trio, and can't wait for his Quadvium project.🔥
@@This_Fretless_Guy Both great bassists. Unfortunately, Sean Malone is no longer with us... It's heartbreaking. He always played with heart.
Mike flores and jeff hughell are up there too
Just saw him play on Tuesday. Dude is fucking insane. An absolute legend.
I remember when he used to had short hair when he played in Cosmogenesis and Omnivium. It's so long now...
I’ve loved his bass work ever since I heard his playing on Pestilence Spheres. The work he did on Cosmogenesis is absolutely breathtaking. This guy is on another level compared to most metal bass players.
yes !! so underrated, pestilence was a different breed
He just seems like the coolest guy ever
He is.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG
We need bass playthrough videos!
Yes exactly we do also guitar pro tab...like other albums....
So glad hes back in obscura
I mean dude, just listen to the bassline in Incarnated, this dude rejoining Obscura made me cream myself because I knew he'd litter the songs with his basslines, and he delivered BIG TIME.
!!
True and Real
Ordered the new album the second I realized JPT was back in the band. After digesting it over the past few days I'm thinking it may be their best.
my idol and inspiration
Glad this video came up on my feed. Obscura is coming in feb to va bch. hell yeah. the bass def is the biggest reason I become a fan of the band. never see too many 7 string basses ever. love it
Fretless too
I would say the challenge was accepted and met with wonderful results. You gave me inspiration to play more. Thank you for that!
so glad someone is still making amazing metal.
Love how high he plays his bass with his strap. It’s almost like it’s resting on his chest.
You guys are smokin!!
Finally its out! Paul is one of my fave bassists 💓
Dude’s a beast playing bass. Tuesday Keep on going.
Man I was at least hoping to witness some actual studio recording moments and there were literally none here! Really interested to hear this dude's performance without other instruments... guess I have to wait for a playthrough...
Great to see you back with Obscura, bass on this album is amazing. good luck with the North American Tour 2022.
Brilliant bassist and coolest lines, such a good fit for this band.
Hell yeaaaaaaaaaah ❤🤘🏻🔥❤🤘🏻🔥
The best band🤘🏻
Finally! I've been waiting so much for this video 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Slap a da bass, devoured usurper is one of my favorite tracks.
It's just such a heavy tune, like I don't think I've heard many songs alike that one. The intro is just so damn heavy and menacing when it comes in and fills the entire room.
very interesting way to record the bass!! Jeroen bass always sound huge..
nice
fretless bass god🤘
I wish I could afford a Warwick 7 string thumb bass so bad
I had a dream about this interview the other day 😂 so odd
Sheesh
fucking insane
I was so looking forward to seeing Johan in Knoxville but had issues with passports or some shit bit they got alex weber to do tour I hope Johan gets onstage with them soon
I want to see jeroen in more videos I know he has been sick so.... also someone tab the intro to forsaken....that'd be awsome
However great an album A Valediction is Akróasis still rules.
Didn't know this was an Obama-based album! 3:25
Please stop
