Very interesting documentary idea esp with their Ukrainian/Slovakian heritage and current world events. I hope you take us all the way back to their roots and complicated history with Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism! Glad they are back home with Orthodoxy! 💕☦️🙏
Such great news about your pending documentary! Fr. Tom has been my daily Scripture reading companion for several years now through "The Path" on Ancient Faith. (I also love his interview show.) I ordered a small volume on the history of the Carpatho-Russians in America (when I ordered the Chlib Dusi); it's still on the "get to it" pile, but my preview was promising.... On THAT subject (segue)...I love the Chlib Dusi prayerbook (the Latinica is cool). But it, too, has quite a few blank pages! I was thinking of contacting Holoviak's to see if they can print/send them for me to cut/paste - ? (Yes, I am a total 🤓. You can say it. I know you're thinking it 😅....)
I wonder if this book is from the period when children (even in the Orthodox Carpatho-Rusyn parishes) had a First Communion ceremony much like their Ruthenian Catholic and Polish Catholic neighbours?
Call up the seminary and ask for another copy. My great-grandfather is the author, tell them Fr Nick Mihaly days to check the pages before the send it out again.
Wilkes Berra !!!! pronouncing in local provincial dialect . That is a path that will lead you to Philadelphia . Many people from “ Upsate “in the OCA parishes. Many people from Fracville . Let me know if you want any insight
Documentary time boooiiiiis!!!!
I’m legitimately happy for you, and I hope that the project goes swimmingly.
Thank you

It’s a product of its time-I don’t use it mainly because of the clunky English, but I know many older faithful who bring it out for Lent.
