Unfortunately, bullying isn't just a concept or a bad habit. Aggression against the weak is a biological part of nature that is shared by every classification of animal on the earth. It's in our DNA. It's in everything's DNA. It's not a matter of training the world to suit our children but the other way around. In other words; i blame the parents. Excepting cases of true mental illness, Until the age of accountability, everything a child does or fails to is also the parents doing and failing. I guess i just don't understand how all this can go on and the parents seemed unable to do anything or completely ignorant.

If you do not hold the bully accountable and get a lawyer and have him processed then you're telling other people they can keep bullying with no responsibility. For too long people have thought bullying is just character building. If we see a Bully, even a kid, go to JUVIE for Bullying to hold him responsible then other people will think twice before they abuse someone. Make a real change. Save someone else. The kindness message isn't going to change anything.

But this is the thing. Bullying doesn't magically end when you leave school. Adults bully in the workplace, in social circles, etc. How to deal with bullies will be a lifelong skill needed.

If your child comes to you and says their being bullied or being mistreated in school, Do something about it. The parents of these bullies need to be aware of their child’s behavior! Always tell your children don’t start the fight but if they hit you let them have it! They need to know you have their back and defending yourself is OK!!

Bullying , social media, mental health problems are 3 big reasons why everything is going wrong in society. Bullying will never end because there is always going to be someone so miserable they want to make other people pay for their misery, social media just completely blinds and influences young people , and mental health problems will always exist.

He’s now in therapy and was referred to a psychiatrist. I went ahead and put both my daughters in therapy just so they can have someone to talk to in case they don’t want to come to me for some reason. A safe word is a great idea! He was referred to a psychiatrist and that was our help. He has a Dr that cares and is always a phone call/text away. I also make sure I’m checking in with his teachers and informed the school dean what’s been going on. He has built a great relationship since the awareness and I think that helps tremendously when everyone knows the awareness!!

So so sorry. If this helps, I feel things & know he is forever at peace & we will get to see our loved ones again. We can’t see that now but when we cross over all I can say is WOW. Think of it as another world but no judgement. When you need him just ask for a sign & trust me he will be there. His physical body was just tired but his soul is stronger than ever.
I can only give you this to think about as you go though this world but I hope it help.
    Stay strong
    Dale

I know this comment will not change anything or bring Drayke’s life back but I wish he’s really happy wherever he is now. He deserves all the love and care in the world. I can’t imagine on his young age, he could’ve been have a great future ahead of him but these heartless people take that away from him. I shouldn’t have said this but I wish those people get the karma they deserved for the rest of their lives. I hope they will suffer for what they have done to Drayke.

:( that's abuse. Not mental illness. Please, do not forgive his Bully. Seek Justice for the pain your son was in. If you for whatever reason could not protect him from the bully while he was alive, protect him now. Seek Justice. A lesson for every person who abuses other people. THAT is Justice for him. Hold the bully accountable.

Dear Media...everyone has mental illnesses as it is part of the human condition. Stop positioning it like it is unusual. Say, "when you or someone you know, are experiencing symptoms of mental illness, or distress, please seek"...then give resources and links to supportive care or services. Many children don't seek help as they aren't mentally mature enough to process what is happening.
Mental illness needs a stigma shift so we stop labeling people experiencing normal but difficult emotions from feeling more isolated and labeled because of the way media and the world talks about it. Stop the stigma. Stop the labels. Start with the news outlets. Thanks so much!

This breaks my heart! So many of our Pre-teens and teenagers are taking their own lives. When a child is being bullied and they've repeatedly tried to get help for them to stop to no avail they resort to killing themselves. No one should ever ever be bullied. And we as parents need to step up and be their advocate.
I'm so sorry for this family. No parent should have to bury their child at such a young age. Rest easy sweet boy.💙🥺😪

When your kids tell too they are being bullied. Get them help, set them up with a counselor. Make sure they know you have their back. Keep following up with them. Become involved in the child’s classroom.

@Charles Sparkles There’s so many beautiful parts to this planet, beautiful oceans, sunny meadows, vast deserts along with really great people who you’ll meet, yummy foods to try and tons of fun to explore and you deserve all of the goodness that is coming your way. Keep finding things that make you laugh and feel happy. You will get through that feeling by talking with your family too. Ask them if they have ever felt like you. Let them help you.
