i have 2000 hours ish in destiny 2, and around 200 in warframe. Both of those games give you a satisfaction when obtaining good loot.
You feel like you obtained something strong finally after crafting, completing quests or in warframes case opening relics.
However in TFD, its kinda hard to tell what is actually good (to a new player) and it doesnt give the same satisfaction
Destiny 1&2 have always sat well w/ me over the years. Sadly w/ those, I wasn't ready to really get into them like doing raids and item farming. Warframe, on the other hand, felt good as well, but limiting warframes, weapons, etc really killed it for me even though I still had the same issues that kept me really getting into Destiny.
Even though I'm better now and will work towards dedicating time to more thought out games than COD, TFD just seems like it's worse than Warframe while being more lenient and manipulative in certain areas.

150 hours in and I'm still having a blast. The most important is that the devs hear community's feedback and for as long as they do that, it can only get better. A solid 7/10 for me.
they are listening, but haven't adressed any of the main issues of the game. If they won't do it soon enough it wont get better
@@yatoyaboku4296 That's not true. On hotfix 1.02 they added matchmaking on Hard and removed the lame sequential immunity spheres mechanic. Those 2 were main issues too. Of course there's a lot more they have to address but... patience, the game was released just 3 weeks ago.
Same, very excited for new bosses and perhaps also dungeons. As someone used to 1/5000 drops in Runescape, 3 or 6% is very generous in terms of drop rate 😂

@@luups5250 I think the grind is not that bad, but the main gameplay gets extremely repetitive with no mission variance. Open world is probably the most repetitive content you can do.
Bosses do not tend to be hard because of good design and mechanics but rather because they have either stupid amounts of hp or one mechanic that they spam over and over. Most of the time they do both.
Many descendant kits feel basic and weak. I think this speaks for itself. Descendants like Ajax, Viessa and Bunny are extremely basic and in some instances extremely useless.
Lastly the game has almost no weapon variety. Every single normal munition weapon is rifle or similar and every single rifle feels the same. Even the ultimate weapons feel exactly the same.
Game is not good. It has potential but that goes for almost every single game. It’s just one of the most bland games I‘ve ever played. It can be a good time waster. Therefore it’s a 4/10.
I rolled 82 amorphous pattern for 96 times to get Bunny's code, the last part I need to craft her, and didn't get it. I can't anymore 😢
And there's people who want the 32% from that pattern but get the lowest drop rate item. XDD
I got mine on the 86th HM mode relic. Even made a ticket to nexon to check if my account is bugged or something lol.

What people don't understand is that the drop rates are unacceptable to anyone with a limited game time. UA-camrs and Streamers can spend huge amount of time and don't feel the pain as much !!!!!
Then these types of games are not for you, and that’s OK. This whole point is to grind, not getting everything handed to you. To each their own.

@@xPookinatornot true and people need to stop saying that. The game is for us, it just needs to be tailored a little bit more towards the people who have limited time to play games. Why can't that be done? At some point in the game, you're going to have to grind to progress; areas and bosses will get harder and those default weapons and mods you skated by with are going to need upgrades. That's fine. This is true for just about every game has a progression system. The problem with this game, like Warframe and Destiny and Diablo and Warcraft, require too much time to acquire the materials needed to upgrade the necessary equipment to successfully progress.
I like the looter shooter genre and similar genres where you beat enemies to get gear. I hate having time-restrictions on things that don't need them. I hate having to spend hours upon hours to farm currencies to only upgrade something maybe 2 out of 20 things that need to be upgraded. Moreoever, I hate doing quests 250 times to then have to do another quest 250 times to MAYBE get a fraction of an item necessary to acquire one 1/4 of an item needed to craft something. If a game is going to have drop rates, then there shouldn't be a restriction or requirement of resources to do a quest OR the resources needed should be quick and easy.
Personally, I think the story isn't bad. I like the missions and as dry as the environment is, I like the concept. I like how the base story progression is minus the Devourer and the weapon/descendent progression. I like the combat and audio. I like the character designs. All of these things that I do like are tarnished by these exaggerated and stretched out "grind" tactics that are there to LITERALLY make you pay to get past them. Monster Hunter has 3% drop rates, but unlike MH, the resources needed to do a quest are so easy to get and so quick to get and the fights aren't as long until you get to the end game content.

Black Desert Online add this early this year and it had been a positive change.
Bottom line this is a free to play game. It all comes down to preference. I myself love this game but I can't really trust spending a lot of money yet. I only put $5 in so far cause little contributions maybe will help improvements overall
My biggest gripe is 32% drop chance feels like 3.2%.

Yeah the RNGception is what bothers me. You have the 5-25% change to get the amorphous material to then have another, potentially miniscule, chance to get the item itself from the amorphous material. Let's not forget the shard grinding to actually fight the mini boss that will allow you to open it, if that's the method your AM requires. Basically what this means is that 3% drop you're trying to get isn't actually 3%. It's usually worse because you need to get the amorphous to drop first. Happy hunting gents.
That said, I am enjoying the game. It can just be frustrating.

So far the grind for me has been just right, but people have a point though, it does take a bit too much time. And the fusion reactor is annoying but it has a saving grace though. Everytime a piece needs to be obtained through frost walker, I skipped it and go to a fusion reactor instead. Holy hell doing that boss is painful with public matchmaking (although other than that, all other mechanics are really easy to do with public matchmaking. Only with frost walker that it really beat everyone over the head).
It's pretty good, not great but good, and still needs work and has a long way to go, but it's new.
Luckily we have a roadmap and a transparent dev team thats actually listening to feedback and improving the game without having to nerf strong builds and goid farming methods.
This game's movement fills in for that experience I missed with Apex Legends.
250h and I still want to play, I'd say it's off to a good start.

I'm about 171 hours in and i've constructed ulti ajax, and ulti bunny is in the oven. I would say I'm having a good time alright. Valby has been hard carrying me throughout the late game.

80h in, but I will probably quit this week if I can't finally drop my first ult descendant. The drop rate is holding my progression, 30h farming ult bunny and I am still missing 2 parts, the worst ones.
to be honest, no, it doesn't have anything thats really challenging, and mundane underwhelming mobs so the repeat grind gets old real quick.

The problem is when people play, they saw guide what's the best weapon, character, mod. And atart gunning for those builds,instead of taking it slowly.
Ottr was getting more views on the finals than the first decendant (at least so far after the initial hype from his first few videos) so why play this game if he said it wasn't financially viable to play finals???
I just wish the enemies in the void fragment missions AT LEAST dropped gold.

My friends and I sink hours into this game every time we get together to play. I think it is good but it may be the novelty of the whole thing.

This looks like a game for people that love to have their time wasted. Ultimate fast food game that's not good but but not bad.
The world looks bland like cookie cutter UE5 asset flips. The movement looks robotic/stiff and on top of that its basically a mobile game with the mechanics.
They are removing the 5min wait, and you can dismiss the regular descendant when you get the ultimate. I did the same in warframe where slots are limited and pay for them, with trading I got them back again when I had all the slots and playing the game they will drop automatically at least twice for most parts.
Source on the removal of the 5 min wait? It seems too good to be true.

no, korean games are always the most microtransaction infested snore fests with unreasonable progession systems and the most boring grind loops. it seems "fine" now. but thats exactly how black desert and lost ark started off as.

in warframe you sometimes grind something for a week (considering daily 2-4 hours)
Depends on what you’re grinding. Usually the grind can be fun and diverse, and if you don’t play a whole lot than it isn’t actually that bad. 2 hours a day for a week is like 14 hours of unfocused grinding. I, personally, have never grinded that hard or taken that long for anything, so idk what warframe you’re playing.
I have 140h now MR16 and just got Enzo crafting. Like warframe 5k hours and LR4 I'm 100% free play. Will see if you can actually really play it free in the long run like warframe, they did mention trading was coming. I could already sell an Enzo main BP 😎
I am enjoying the game immensely, after years since I enjoyed some shooter. Reminds me of Unreal 2: The Awakening. Doing most stuff solo. Going trough the campaign, got myself Lepic, Bunny, Freyna and Velby is being researched.
I am also in a loop of doing some attempts to get 4th piece of Sharen and Viessa. Its frustrating having 3/4 pieces but not successfully rolling for the 4th but I am a patient man. Gotta remind some that in League of legends you had to grind a lot to get all the champions if you didnt pay for them. Same goes for unlocking tanks in WoT.
As am 81 hours in and I can see that going to 200+ hours by the time I am done with hard mode and grinding out the descendants and weapons I want I will certainly be spending at least $60 on this game. Probably on cosmetics mostly and maybe for an energy activator or something else.

I played a decent chunk of the first descendant (not a ton but enough to get the vibe) and it’s a hybrid between warframe and destiny. It’s got slightly more grounded movement than watframe, but gunplay and such don’t necessarily feel quite as satisfying as destiny 2 (hard to say how much is just destiny being an FPS). Weapon loot also felt very needlessly messy in comparison to the other two, giving you tons of copies of weapons but not really telling you obviously enough (at least for a new player) when they actually dropped.
I’ve played a solid 2000+ hours in destiny 2 and the first descendant doesn’t currently compete, but that is only because destiny is currently riding the high of its best expansion ever. Comparing against its weaker expansions like curse of Osiris, shadowkeep, beyond light and lightfall make destiny look like trash in comparison. The first descendant is at its launch and is significantly more competent than destiny 1 or 2 were at the same time.
We will have to see where the game ends up in time, but I know for myself I don’t have the time to enjoy MMOs anymore. Destiny is a game I play maybe once a week max just to hang out with friends, but is simply too much of a grind, despite being less than both wstframe and first descendant.
I do have to say that the first descendant not having PvP feels like a really smart move. Destiny and warframe’s PvP can be fun but ultimately is handicapped by horrific netcode and questionable balancing thanks to the incredibly dense sandbox available. This game does not have that problem.
Regardless, I hope it succeeds. Mmo shooters have been a pretty difficult genre to get into, with countless corpses laying in its wake (anthem, the division 1 & 2, outriders, halo infinite and borderlands 3 to an extent). Similar to the finals, they both have a steep hill to climb regardless of their quality, which seems good enough for a launch at least. Player retention is always going to be the tough part.

coming from helldivers 2 where the devs made it less fun for players and punished them. they made the game unfunny, the whole point of helldivers 2 was fun, they took balancing too seriously like they are freaking valiant but anyway all they needed to do was new ways to make bigger explosions. But I know theses devs are better at listening to the community than at least 80% of games

I think that it’s a decent game if you aren’t interested in a looter with depth and difficulty. I appreciate in the current climate of gaming, that’s an inadvertent insult, but I think some people just want that power fantasy sometimes. The game won’t challenge you, or make you think, but it’ll stimulate the player for just a bit of dumb fun, and that’s ok.
It’s not really for me, I’m much more interested in Destiny, which has the benefit of being 10 years old, but also has a breadth of early, mid and endgame content. TFD feels like it’s plateau is the mid game.

I’m not enjoying their calls when it comes to their farm changes, nerfed one I was doing in a mission and completing it. But leave the outpost one that you can basically do with any character with a running D.O.T ability in circles endlessly…… (not even completing it to obtain amorphous material)

I understand the criticisms.. but in doing a critical analysis of a game many forget to experience it for what it is.
Yeah this game is nothing great ... But it's really fun. And in the end gaming is for fun. I'd argue some of the most played multiplayer games right now are all rated average but the player base stays coz they are fun and that's all that matters.
It isnt great nor good because for most people it isn't fun. It really that simple. It offers very little for the amount of time you need to invest. And no the most played multiplayer games are not all rated average. Just to name a few counterstrike, dota, lol and destiny 2 are not rated neither low nor average. Thats just a false statement.
TFD has the negative reviews for many reasons and if they wont fix them soon enough the game will lose its entire playerbase. Its already lost around 50%

The game is fairly new the developers are learning the game has to grow give it time to grow before you give it bad reviews or okay review people are always comparing it to Destiny 2 in Warframe you know just give it a chance those games been out for years this one just came out
I hate the “the devs are learning” excuse. Both destiny and warframe have been at it for years doing it far better, it isn’t like that are the first people to make such a game. All the things people are complaining about are very obviously things people already either have problems with elsewhere or are easily solved by common concepts that people love. Just like Payday 3, it isn’t like they had no inspiration available. In fact. Many things are obviously inspired by warframe and destiny, they just… forgot all of the ideas that would mean people giving them less money in trade for higher player enjoyment.

Steam reviews are flooded with negatives from Warframe and Destiny 2 diehards. Thousands, dozens of thousands of similar reviews of 1-2 hours of game time, half of which they've spent alt-tabbed writing their hateful review. It's understandable that they don't want their games to die out due to loss of playerbase, but this is just nuts man 😔

Games ass. I got 200 hours in and my Lepic is able to kill almost every hard mode boss just by using 1 ultimate off rip. No challenge in the game, gameplay loop is boring and overly grindy/unrewarding with no real end game. Literally any other looter shooter is better than this game, as this one does nothing better than the rest.

its a 5/10. The open zones and any kind of mission there suck hard. Bosses can be fun, but most of the time they are stupid bullet sponges with one or two mechanics max that they repeat over and over. I did not enjoy the bosses most of the time. Descendant kits are pretty bare bones and almost 0 weapon diversity. Makes it pretty unrewarding to grind for weapons if they all feel the same.
Progression also feels all kind of wrong. First you demolish enemies then you start hard mode and get absolutely shredded by everything. Of course there are many ways to get stronger but some of them are straight up p2w. The energy activators should be easier to get or made way cheaper. Who in there right mind would paywall an essential item for progression for 25 bucks. Thats just unbelievable.
I had way more fun with D2 tbh and Warframe obviously. D2 offered raids which were really fun and warframe does everything TFD does but better aside from bosses perhaps and even TFD bosses have major issues.
Its great for coomers though, but it will most likely die soon after if they do not fix these issues.

Perhaps this game is fun. For the player. However its a little boring to watch a super drawn out grinder with very similar looking gameplay thru out the first 10 minutes.

Most streamera and reviewer keep saying its boring, unimpressive and nothing new but most of them fail to see the fun part.
Many streamer and reviewer keep asking for mechanics and harder content but most players dont want memorize and study a raid mechanic so that u can clear a hard raid, we jus want to go into a game and shoot things not go to study room to b tested abt ur raid mechanics gameplay.
what they truly are implying is "we want more content so we can make videos & milk out of it".
Warframe does hard content without the mind-numbing memorization.

im nearing 200 hours and i have no idea what practices ur talking about. Havent yet felt compelled to spend even 1 cent. The only thing ill buy if i get to that is 1 or 2 more descendant slots that go for like 1 dollar lol

I don’t know why people are bitching about the descendent slots warframe does the exact same thing and no one complains about that warframe worse than the first descendants when it comes to slots i’d say it’s in a good place
You can essentially get Warframe slots for free easily, but you always have to spend money on them in TFD
@@fs0range yeah through the night wave if I remember correctly and they give you like one or two every three months and you have to do challenges to even progress the night wave to whatever tier it is on unless now they changed it, i’m pretty sure most of the time you’re gonna end up paying for the rest of the slots after you reach whatever tier they are on in the night wave
@@YaoyorozuKMomo not really. you're able to earn platinum for free by trading in Warframe. By trading your arcanes/ mods that you farmed, you can trade them for plat. Then you can use that plat to buy slots or whatever you want. Also Warframe has given out free frames as twitch drops etc. and if you already have that frame you basically just get a free slot.
@@fs0range if you’re one of the few people that have stuff laying around to sell, then sure that’s fair game, but not everybody is going to have things on hand to sell right then and there for Warframe slots and having to wait for someone to buy your stuff eventually. At that point you might as well just out right buy the slots also twitch prime unless you have amazon prime they won’t even let you claim twitch drops so unless you’re subscribe to Amazon prime monthly you’re not getting any of those twitch drops unless they changed it, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t. twitch drop are not free because you have to sign up for a membership monthly to get them
@@YaoyorozuKMomo lol Twitch drops are free. You're referring to prime loot. 2 different things. There are so many people who farm in game to earn platinum so they can buy whatever they want. And the market isn't slow to the point you have to wait endlessly for someone to come and buy your items. Cracking open riven mods is also another big way to earn platinum fast
