Another great update Andy, you should know that all 6600 and some change subscribers really enjoy your updates and most of us can relate to the ups and downs to life, your not alone buddy...look forward to next update...and summer 😁😁👍
Hi Andy, The Cap 21 looks awesome. Top notch covering job. Have enjoyed watching her take shape over the months. Guess it won't be much longer hearing the engine running and a maiden. May I ask a favor. I need to sell that Carolina Customs Kits 85" Top-Flite Giant Scale P-47 bubble top I bought last year. It's still in the box and asking $400 plus shipping if anyone in your club is interested in a winter project. Wish I wasn't in a position that I need to let it go. Happy New Year to you and the family and stay safe.
Hi Andy. Happy New Year my friend. Love that classic Cap. I found the last new ZDZ 97 i think in the world. Got it from a hobby shop in Queensland Australia. My old ZDZ90 that i had in my MeisterFW190d just wouldnt run well. The 97 is an upgraded and bored out 90, same dimensions and runs like a top, plus its a horse!! I have 40min breakin time on it. Starts after choke with one flip. Waiting for nice weather to maiden. Working on the carf p51. Totaly reinforcing the entire plane with carbon fiber, additional bulkheads, doubled up retract rails etc etc. I forgot your mobile number or would send you pics. If you still have my number shot me a text.
Looks great! Do you prefer metal wing bolts over nylon? Do you use metal blind nuts with the metal wing bolts or just tap the wood and screw into that?

Looking awesome Andy. Nice to hear you get your wood from John at M.A.P. He has quality stuff👍👍
Love watching Andy you give me a lot of tips on building. You're awsome.
Nice job, Andy. Good idea on the heat shield. Glad you're feeling better. Take care

Nice ! Had one and they don't fly well when the tail is a bit on the heavy side..... Take care of yourself. Always watching from Canada.
The Sun Ray is a great looking plane. A fellow club member built one years ago. Where do you supply your wood from these days?

Hi Andy, great build!! What servos are you using in the wings and on the elevators?
@@Mike-z4c I described every servo in the video........
the CDI is realy close to receiver...
@@fedesilvi6965 not really...... even back in the 72 days this is plenty of separation
@n1114v The manual recommends 30 cm separation
