Ive paid these guys so much money last few years all of my federalnstate return and more and kept up to date on out taxes and now they are pulling money from my wifes employer without any sort of notification or even saying what we owe. We cant afford this anymore its basically harassment and i dont have the money to defend ourselves vs the state, we are poor we file simple tax returns, ftb thinks we owe them some unlimited amount more than we make 😢

I just got thousands taken from my account. I haven’t lived in California for 8years. I think there is an identity theft issue. I can’t reach them until Monday I am worried sick.

Just so you know. Let’s say you owe a couple hundred dollars to state or the IRS. If you don’t have at least $2080 in your bank account then the party that is issuing the debt will continue to send letters to your bank and your bank will continue to charging hundred dollar fee over and over and over and like my back, they have not communicated this at all and taken more than $600 out of my account for $181 debt that still is not paid.

By the way, I have not received one letter from my bank stating that they are charging me this continuously I have to investigate and then I found out and now I have to call the Franchise tax board, which is next to impossible to get a hold of anyone to have it stopped, and therefore at that point Set up a payment plan or just pay the fee. And example my bank has taken $100 out of my account in the last two weeks two different times which is absolutely insane. If you asked me. It’s very fraudulent and shady of my bank

Hello. I'm sorry if this sounds kind of petty but I sort of a late bloomer and I recently just opened a bank account. I had a small amount of money in there for a while and I had put about a thousand dollars in one day. Well a few days later I noticed some money missing. I looked at my statement it said that the franchise tax board had withdrawn one hundred and seventy dollars and on top of that my bank charged me a one hundred dollar fee I guess for them giving the tax board access to my funds. Also I got some bills on the mail from some attorney company out of Texas that says I owe them eight hundred dollars out of nowhere. Did I trigger some kind of "hey this guy has some money let's everybody take it all button" or something along those lines? I don't understand any of this.

I moved to Georgia back in June 2019. I filled my taxes in Georgia for 2019. I never get any mail and in I didn’t know what is going on. Bum they hit my account for $1886.00 which is not fair. I asked my bank what is going on and called them that I moved to Ga and filled there, the lady on the phone told me to file the tax 540-2019 print the pdf and mail it. I hope I can recoup my hard earned money by doing so. Not fair at all😢
