Update (i've updated the Google sheet to reflect this):
1. The best fund to invest SRS is iShares US Index Fund (IE) S&P 500, via Endowus, and not Amundi Prime USA Fund.
2. FSMOne annual fee is 0.35% instead of 0.0875%
3. Amundi Prime USA Fund dividend taxed calculation was wrong
4. All unit trust like Lion Global Infinity US S&P 500 Stock Index Fund has 30% div wht, not 15%, despite being domiciled in Ireland
Thanks to @ahsiong88 and @shawnmsteward, who pointed the mistakes

Thanks again Kelvin, this is very informative and useful. 👍👍👍
Great job on this.
Question here:
Planning to invest in SPYL via IBKR in a long run
1. To buy it, should I fix the route to be a direct route via TWS or should I just go with default one, which is SMART route. If direct, which route is the most recommendable one.
2. Let's say I'm investing 100 dollars monthly into this ETF, is recurring investment a better choice?
3. From your previous videos, I have acknowledged that recurring investments are all under fractional shares. Will it be a bad thing for a long run? Is it transferrable to other brokers?
4. For IBKR, I have acknowledged the commissions for EBS are the same with LSEETF, will it be cheaper if go through recurrent investment?
Thanks if you would like to spend your time on these questions by a newbie. I appreciate it!
for the lion global infinity s&p 500 index fund via peoms, it is labeled as "unit trust(UT). are this 2 things the same?
Yea its a unit trust
Hi kelvin, do you have video on the procedure of how to buy dividend, using which app Etc. although there are tons of video out there, they are only "briefing highlighting" the process
I didnt invest before and wanted to try investing. Have some capital on hand
Thanks Kelvin, youre the best ! Thankfully i made the right choice to invest my SRS in Amundi
Ah, after releasing the video, someone pointed out that Amundi isn't the cheapest for SRS. It should be iShares US Index Fund (IE) S&P 500
Hi Kelvin, would you recommend SPYL or CSPX especially when SPYL is relatively new?
SPYL is fine
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting Thank You!
Thanks Kelvin for the video and spreadsheet. Can I ask for Lion Global Infinity 500, why is the expense ratio under Endowus different from the other 2 platforms ie Poems and FSMOne?
Endowus has trailer fee rebate
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting where do u get the infor of lion global infinity 500 is fall in scope of Ireland domicile ?
Ah, that’s a mistake. It should be 30% div withholding tax
Hi Kelvin, new to ETFs and I intend to invest in SPYL for the long term, just wondering what if one day the expense ratio increase (or there might be other ETFs with even lower fees), in this case should I continue the DCA into current one, or invest the new one with lower fees or there’s way to transfer the investment from old to new?
If ever the fees increased, we can js invest in another cheaper fee ETF. The current one if its a large amount, can js sell off and put into the new cheaper etf
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting Thanks! Will continue to support and monitor for any updates from you 👍🏻
Kelvin u are a life saver
Hey Kelvin! I’m new to IBKR & was having some pop up (warning about submitting order without market data) when I try to place limit order on the ETFs. Can I just proceed or do I need to rly subscribe to their market data or snapshot thingy? Not familiar w this😅any advice would be helpful :)
That's normal, can just close the warning
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting Thanks!! btw, is it normal that when i set a limit order, example $100 (the last value was eg: $99.50) and when my order goes thru, the average cost shown is more at $101. Is this due to the additional commisson fee etc, or is it due to it being a limit order? Wondering if i can avoid this in any way? eg: place Market order or setting a lower price limit order?
damn Kelvin, all that research done for us is Honest Work!
Hi Kelvin, for SRS investing, S27 with the highest expenses ration of 0.0945 and dividend withholding tax of 30% (total fee of 0.384%) is still cheaper than iShares US Index Fund overall (0.62%) because it doesn't have the 0.3% Endows Fee. Would love to be proven wrong as I don't like to use the Poems interface, but this is what your spreadsheet also says unless I read it wrongly? Thanks for the video!
Ah, thanks for pointing it out. I just realized the iShares US Index Fund doesn't have dividends, because it's a synthetic replication, therefore it doesn't subjected to dividend withholding tax. So:
POEMS
dividend taxed: 1.33% x 30% div wht = 0.399%
expense ratio: 0.0945%
platform fee: 0%
total: 0.49%
iShares US Index Fund
dividend taxed: 0%
expense ratio: 0.08%
platform fee: 0.3%
total: 0.38%

@@KelvinLearnsInvesting Ah, thanks for the clarification!
Hi Kelvin,
Could you create a video on NASDAQ 100 ETFs similar to the one you did for S&P 500 ETFs?
SPYL is also listed on LSE? Found it in FSM under LSE but too bad it’s not in the RSP list for DCA without processing fee.
It is listed on LSE. But some brokers like IBKR don't have the LSE version, it only has the EBS version. If FSM has it I guess can go for it? Though just be aware FSM has higher trading fees
what's the difference between the various membership forms to support your channel?
Ah, currently no difference.
If i am going to put in S$1000 to SPYL, should i use the fixed or tiered pricing?
Thanks for the video!
Use tiered pricing!
If I choose accumulating, does it mean the withholding tax doesn't matter? Since there won't be any "dividends"..
accumulating means the fund will reinvest the dividends on behalf, as long as the company declare dividends it is sbj to withholding tax
Hi Kelvin, I searched for SPYL on IBKR but couldn’t find one that is listed on LSE. Am I missing something?
Get the one at EBS exchange.
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting Got it, thanks very much Kelvin for your reply!
Why no mention can download your comparison spreadsheet for free?
For LSE and EBS listed ETFs, maybe you can add the trading hours, how it compares with US markets so that is another factor whether to choose their ETFs.
We also need think the transaction cost at these exchanges, how is it diff from US exchange, if using IBKR?
I've mentioned at 0:35
Transaction cost for LSE and EBS in IB is USD1.70
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting thanks Kelv.. EBS exchange trading hours - whether convenient for SGP/MY time zone to trade.
For cpf comparison, 9:38, seems the platform fees are not included
Queston: what about syfe's voo or spy? Is it worth investing in?
SPY expense ratio 0.0945% + 30% div withholding tax
VOO expense ratio 0.03% + 30% div withholding tax
versus
SPYL expense ratio 0.03% + 15% div withholding tax
SPYL gives greater savings
Can do one for qqq ?
If I want to use SGD cash and invest for long term, is Amundi Prime still a good choice?
For cash, it’s not a good choice, as you will pay a recurring platform fee
Thanks. Because I want to do a recurring monthly SGD 400 cash investment. So which will be a good choice?
Awesome choice for cpf
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting Which platform/app/service should we use?
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting then may I ask what is the best choice for cash investment? Many thanks.
How to buy using moomoo?
Have you taken into account the Endowus platform fee (0.3% for single fund)?
Yes
What’s difference between IVW and IVV ?
IVV: S&P500
IVW: Growth companies in S&P500
Nice🎉
Which platforms can i use to buy SPYL?
Ibkr
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting thank you :)
Soon Chick-Fil-A will be the best chicken sandwich in Singapore. 😋😁
CPF - SA cannot invest in any of these S&P 500 ETF?
Cannot. CPF SA only supports lower risk investments
In your calculation for dividend taxed, you stated 1.33% x 30% = 0.48%. Shouldn’t it be 0.399%? 10:25
Oops good catch. I fixed in the google sheet
The platform fee for FSM is also wrong. It's 0.0875% per quarter and so it's 0.35% per year. Maybe you can check again.
Ah.. it's per quarter!! Thanks for the correction!
Question: what is the best way to track your returns once you have decided on an etf to invest in?
U can either see the report generated in the broker. Or use a portfolio tracker app. I’m using “my stocks portfolio and widget”
Ur polo tee, from uniqlo???😂😂😅
Welcome to uniqlo!!!
