There is no consensus on what you say among micologysts, some of them think the same way, much others dont. The only consensus among them is that each specie is different and each one have to be picked up in different way. The goal is to try to harm the mycelium as less as posible. Boletus edulis can be taken with care without cuting the stem with a knife not harming the mycelium in any way. Anyway, your opinion is apreciated.

Bellissimi funghi but to me they are boletus edulis and not reticolatus/aestivalis
Marco Zucconi almost all of them are edulis. But there is a few rericulatus and a pinicola as well. Thanks for your comment
