Tiny desk actually have been trying to get BTS on the show for years so they knew whats up lol. Another great reaction!
I read somewhere that they even provide a larger space for BTS to accomodate their dancing.
@@aleshaw4762 yeah they did offer to provide a larger space for the dancing but in a way this was so much better isn't it! It gave the authentic tiny desk feel of having them sing everything live, an awesome backup band and showed the locals a different side that they wouldn't have expected from BTS.
I was just gonna say that.. they have been trying for three or four years now!
@@vampire94 , yes I prefer like this : their vocal and live band, not only at npr maybe for other tv show (Fallon, Corden etc). I wish they can display the English subs of their song on the screen so gp will see how beauty and so poetry their lyric.
They were asking BTS since 2018, but BTS' schedule was too full especially with their Live Yourself and Speak Yourself tour from 2018 - 2019. 💜

The first time I heard “Spring Day” was when I watched the video. I heard the music and they’re voices; I don’t understand Korean and I didn’t know the lyrics. To say this song TOUCHED my soul is an understatement. I LOVE Hobi and SUGA’s parts, but V’s lines broke me. I started sobbing when his voice kinda cracks, my favorite part. Later, I read the translation and it made sense then. And I still tear up every time I listen to it. Amazing how music transcends language barriers; it’s universal. 💜🤘🏼🕺🏻

Three things:
1) the outfits. Someone please give their stylist a raise for this era
2) They’re having so much fun. You can tell
3) THE VOCALSSSSSS! Jungkook hit the Dynamite high note live and the freaking harmonies throughout the performance was awesome
I was noticing the details. Their jackets all have four buttons on the sleeves. The more notions the more expensive/luxurious the item of clothing.

Hobi and JK’s voices harmonize well together. I love when they sing together. Also, haven’t stopped watching this performance. Such a great one.
I just realize JK does alot of adlibs for "Dynamite" and anyone notice his voice is way more raspier in this tiny desk concert and I'm loving it..his breath control is amazing really. Taehyung Jimin and Jungkook really shine in live band version of Dynamite
I think this live performance exposed how low-key raspy his voice is... i love it when it gets like that... he is so talented...
it sounded like he was a bit under the weather. An intentional rasp sounds different, especially in the middle register. As the main vocal he has to sing quite a lot and i know from experience that it can really affect your voice. the little rasp occurs when the vocal chords don't fully close! He sounded great but I was actually pretty worried for his voice. the thing with the rasp is, if you belt/mix a note (the high note) you don't hear it because there's no air or barely any releasing from the vocal chords. when he was using his soft breathy tone in his middle register it's a lot harder to hide! :)

Hobi's part in SAVE ME was my favorite, especially when he harmonized with JK. It hits where it hurts.
BTS used to have a live band during concerts before. You've reacted to MA CITY dring their HYYH concert before and you guys noticed the live accompaniment.
I believe HYYH was the only big show of theirs that did, though, right? and a couple numbers in WINGS.

NPR said they'd been trying to get BTS on Tiny Desk Concert for awhile, but the timing never worked out before. :) This was the most watched Tiny Desk for NPR AND as a Thank You to NPR for having BTS on, a bunch of ARMYs made/are making donations to their local NPR stations. :)

Did you notice that it was mostly the more ADHD members that kept getting up? Tae, who is so ADHD the other members have to watch him so he doesn’t get distracted and wander off, Hobi who is always adorably hyper and spazzy, and Jimin who can’t help but move his body all the time. Like, when they were all sharing one room I hope he wasn’t on the top bunk because I bet he dances even in his sleep.
Also, let us not forget that next week is BTS week on Jimmy Fallon. ALL WEEK LONG! Probably for my birthday.

This performance got BTS more fans. Reading the reactions, there were many tiny desk fans who either hadn't heard of BTS, or had and dismissed them. They were blown away by the performance and were asking ARMY in the reactions where they could hear more. They were now fans!

Adam..im loving the shirt. Glad to see all three of you together again. This performance was awesome. They all looked so good. Jimin sounded like an angel. Jungkooks voice so smooth. Taehyungs voice was so soothing. And Seokjins was the ice cream on top of the cake. Don't even get me started on the rap line. I love listening to Hobi sing and I love the flow of his rap. Namjoons rap as powerful as ever and Sugas swag cant be matched.

Always love your reactions, guys. AJJ, as ever, feels my J-Hope feels - his VOICE during "Spring Day" ahhhhh. I was completely shocked by how amazing they sounded. Obviously they're fantastic, obviously they sing live all the time, but this performance was so stripped-back that you could hear every single note and harmonization. Speaking of, whaaaaaaat was that Hopekook gorgeousness?! Also, this is V's era and we're all just living in it.

I'm happy for you. In my country they very seldom play BTS on the radio. The only time it they mentioned BTS on the television was when the concert was in Amsterdam and ARMY took over.

Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions.
DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly.
Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much.
Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly.

I also have never heard them on the radio where I live (outside Atlanta) and the other day I was in the Walmart parking lot and someone was blasting Dynamite at full volume riding thru the lot...I got soooo excited!!!

@@chrissturkenboom6080 I have! It's one of my fav performances of them. and actually, wardrobe-wise I love armypedia better because they didn't dress up lol. but when you've seen both this and armypedia, you can tell how much they've improved musically, it's so great to see.

When i tell you that v had me on the ground during spring day his adlibs were amazing and his part where he says your my best friend just hit differently then before it was just great. And I was so happy to hear save me thats a song that will always have a special place in my heart(was the first song I listened to and the song that got me into bts in 2016) one of my all time favorites.
The boys gave us this gift when we needed it the most. You know what they say about BTS being there for you when you needed it the most

Why was I crying when I watched this? Maybe because of the sheer perfection I was seeing? Also, J-Hope, why do you think you aren't a singer?! You need to sing for us more. And Jin was so good during Spring Day. All of them show once again what geniuses they are.
