    - 89 gallon fuel tank on the 220
    - Gauge is at 1/4 full at the end of the day which equals approx 66 gallons of fuel used.
    - 66 x $6.00/gal = $396.00/day for fuel alone...for one machine!
    - And don't forget about DEF fluid.

      As I was picturing the AMI engineers wondering "how much heat is he putting in that bucket and thumb steel?" Did we engineer for that? And how do we heat shield that quick couple? Is that wiring rated for two thousand degrees?

    • @erikcourtney1834
      @erikcourtney1834 Рік тому +2

      @@markpashia7067 just to clarify there isn’t any wiring anywhere near the bucket. The the hoses aren’t going to see enough heat to hurt them. The steel isn’t even seeing 1000 degrees. The hottest thing would be the teeth which are a replaceable wear part. The bucket would have to sit in the fire for a while to do any damage.

    • @markpashia7067
      @markpashia7067 Рік тому +1

      @@erikcourtney1834 Think again. There is wiring to the quick couple setup to trigger solenoids. Probably not even high heat wiring. Fire is not likely an engineering consideration. And sometimes I wonder about Chris's 220 electronics ghosts when I see him do this. Likely not related but electronics are funny things about voltages and wiring resistance can cause voltage drops. I for one would like to see that quick couple wiring be replaced with high heat wire and have some heat protections and see if the bugs went away. Just a thought. Or maybe that quick couple is hydraulic and I am wrong. Or maybe the answer is make it hydraulic instead of electric controlled.

Glad you were able to burn those two piles and hopefully you'll get to burn the rest when you have some more rain. Also from the very first video to now its amazing how much has been cleared as it looks so much better. Once you've stumped the last area and then used the use the dozer to get all of the roots up it'll have that rough but clean look to the cleared out land. Always impressed by the work you do Chris.

    Noticed that when the fire was raging and you were still piling more on you kept looking over at the tree line to your left. Wondering how crispy the trees on the edge closest to the fire were getting? Worst case, you take out another row of trees or create a small scallop in the edge. Get a bench set in there and you could call it a place to go and reflect on life😉.
