My friend group wanted to be more masochistic and turned that off months ago…. Really makes you feel like dookie first 20 games or so until you get into a good groove and your aim improves.

Aim assist rewards you for shots you would have missed. On top of that, you can break someone's aim with moving like a demon, and the aim assist has to catch up. Making the cross hair harder to control with intuition. I turned mine off a long time ago. Aim assist is like training wheels. There is just more you can do without them.
If I'm not mistaken mouse and keyboard is more accurate and faster than a controller without aim assist. Aim assist is intended to make things more even, but I've seen a lot of people claim the aim assist is too overpowered.

But Resurgence is harder to get 25 kills because you encounter more stackers than plunder, plus I think atleast 4 of your kills were from people farming BP tokens.
