Hey Kieran, good to see you back. Some great finds as always, especially that Pharoah of course. Love those serendipitous moments in collecting. Be well, Jamie.
"Do it now" IS THE BEST SWAMP FUNK LP EVER!!!! Last song about suicide is so dope!!!! It's really Mel Brown's Mississippi influence that does it for me
Man Kieran you hooked up at a fair with David Belson man that dude had some cool ass video. Kieran congrats on the OG Pharoah Lp I still have found one yet I did grab the new box set . Love that Charles Mingus Blues & Roots OG you found I’ve been on the fence on the Atlantic 75 . That Stitt Tornado sounds dope love it brother .
Blues and Roots is the shit!! So good. Got me hooked on jazz. The tornado is not what you would expect from a Sonny stuff LP. The backing band is mixed bag/eddie Russ. Really Nice electric keys. Dave’s videos were amazing. Very thoughtful.
Dave seems like a cool dude and fellow good guy. Hope to get up to his shop sometime. This update was filled with greatness. The pharaoh goes without saying, serendipity...curious about that Jerome Cooper, sounds excellent. I have that ted Daniel as well, need to revisit. Would love to find his sextet release "tapestry". Great to see this and looking forward to that next installment
Serious business went down here. Stoked for you as you know on finding the Pharoah. Been looking for that Cooper and Cyrille myself. That John Carter is part of his 5 record suite. Absolutely killer.
sounds like a great time with Belson, looks like he had some great records as always, congrats on the Pharoah, the reissue will only make the OGs even more coveted.
Until you got to the fair finds, I was noticing that I owned every single record you were showing. Given that I’ve been collecting for over ten years at this point, does that officially make me an elder VC statesman? 🤔 good finds overall Kieran! Sounds like you had a great time. My local fair was yesterday but I’m traveling so I missed it. Was sad to miss WFMU as well. I’ve been enjoying all the extra content this month.

Hi Jamie! It had been a while. Like you! Would love to see a new one from you. Hope you are well. Nice to hear from you. Peace

Indeed he is. Definitely should check out his shop when you can. I think you would really dig the cooper. Also after tapestry!!
Nice pieces man! That Joe Henderson record is a fave of mine! Sonny Stitt is also a great one! Peace. ✌🏽
Peace Chef! Thanks for watching.

Looking forward to it!
please do a shootout with the Pharoah Sanders record, that would be interesting! Awesome finds there sir.
I will definitely listen to both back to back at some point. I’ll try and remember to mention it in a video when I do.

Always a good time. Super chill. Good beer and good music.

I would say so. You have been around since for as long as I can remember and your collection is deep!
