I would disagree on that assumption. Maybe this is their first piece of software, you can't assume that they know how to write and how to pull up the things they want. Beat board and the outline would be the next steps in learning how to use final draft, not the first.
Warning 'Final Draft' is prone to crashing. I just lost a day and a half worth of creative dialogue on screenplay, do to a final draft crash. I can never replicate what was lost cause was in that 'zone', that writing zone, and final draft crash lost it all forever. This issue needs to be resolved...how can I trust final draft going forward with my work, when system just crashes and you lose days of writing.
I am so sorry to hear that. That is totally frustrating! Are you using the PC version or the Mac version? So it doesn't pick up from your last auto save? This is what I was hoping they would have addressed with version 13
@@ScreenwritingScribe Actually, the technicians at final draft 13 actually helped me... I had no idea that final draft 13 saves your work, like every 15 seconds or minutes?... So, if lose work in a crash, simply go to 'tools', and then hit the 'options' tab, and there you can find your saved work that you thought was lost forever. More people need to know about this resolution or resolve. Final Draft does indeed have your back...lol

The correct way to change the font of a script is at the Element level: Go to Format > Elements (Mac) or Format > Elements Settings (Windows) and click on the Font tab; Click Set Font; In the Font box at the upper left, select the font you want and click OK; Click Apply Font/Size to All Elements; Click OK to get back to your script. The body of your script will now be in the font you chose. Next, you'll need to do the Page Numbers and the Mores and Continueds: With the script still open, go to Document > Header and Footer; On your keyboard, press Control+A (Win) or triple-click (Mac) to select everything underneath the ruler bar; Go to Format > Font from the top menu bar; Windows: In the Font box at the upper left, select the font you want and click OK; Mac: Go to Format Font and select the font; In the Header and Footer box, click OK to get back to your script; Go to Document > Mores and Continueds and click on the Set Font button at the bottom of the window; Windows: In the Font box at the upper left, select the font you want and click OK; Mac: Go to Format Font and select the font. Next, you will need to correct any text whose font was changed if you highlighted it and went to Format Font: Go to Edit > Select All; Go to Format > Font and choose the correct font; OK your way back to the script. Got 13, they had such a sweet upgrade deal that it was hard to pass up. I don't like the final draft account thing, but I do like the other stuff.
I have to say they have been really generous with the upgrade price more so than normal. They have been running a lot of deals. Happy Writing!

how do you change the language
Here is what I found. The correct way to change the font of a script is at the Element level:
