Looks like you used Mobil 1 ESP X2, which is a VW approved 508/509 spec 0W20 oil. Some dealers in my area are dumping 5W40 in my 2021 Tiguan when it calls for 0W20. I had to argue with them about it and they finally admitted that they don’t carry any 0W20 in bulk and that it is “okay to use 5W40.” I did notice the car was much smoother with the 5W40 oil for the 500 miles it was in my engine, but that’s not what it calls for. I made the dealer parts department give me 6 quarts of VW 508/509 0W20 oil, a new filter, and new oil drain plug so that I could do it myself at home. I also called VW Customer Care and told them that that specific dealer was using the wrong oil. 3 months later, that same dealer now does use 0W20 VW oil, but it’s $89.95 instead of $64.95. So in conclusion, that dealer was trying to get away with putting cheaper bulk 5W40 oil in for the 10k and 20k included maintenances. Anyways, nice video. I like your R-line Passat. Just did my first DIY oil change on my Passat. Meineke charged me $65 last year. I bought the oil and filter for about $35. Cha-ching!
