Despite his enormous talent and partnership with well knowns musicians he lives in a rented apartmente and constantly sells his guitars to earn money. Unfortunetly the younger generations in Brasil dont know him. When my boyfriend was 12 he was the only kid in Guinga concert, Guinga got so happy to see youth in the audience he pointed out my bf and told everyone how surprised he was a teen was interested in 'old people music'. I really hope I can hear Guinga live someday in my life, I also hope Guinga gets the recognition he deserves and dont need to sell his guitars anymore. Guinga is my favorite musician ever, I hold his lyrics close to my heart and sing it silently whenever i wander in my city. Te amo guinga, amo teu imaginario, tuas metricas e harmonias!

They truly make a mesmerizing duo... Guinga's composition is justifiably well lauded, but his guitar playing is also some of the finest you'll see.
