I did this yesterday, island appeared and I was right next to it, just hopped on and got the armour unchallenged, by the time the first guy arrived I was like 500 health with a big white laser that melts everybody straight away coming out of my arm. And theres no fall damage you just leap around the map like a loony killing everyone. 21 kills and - second place! Won the game before and after.
Tip: look at the smoke stack a doom castle the head will be there if the doom island is in the game (and if you see the name exploding tomato in your game your cooked if your fighting him)

You don’t care for how long as long as you’re doing it before the storm completely closes when the island spawn every time that I have been Vibing with my friends, the island has Spond in also doom chosen is insane
