I miss the old Barbasol from the 70s & 80s in a jar or tube. That stuff was among the very best brushless shave creams ever. Fun video, thanks for posting it.
Fun video. Liked seeing your collection 😀. I’m going to ask barbasol to make a special edition sinantra lennon can for a limited time only. Least they could do lol 😆
I wish they would but the one from the 80s/90s graphics back out thats the can i grew up learning to shave with my grandpa. But my family has been barbasol users since my great grandpa in ww2
I kinda like that slight medicinal smell hehe. That 1919 is really a great product too. I’m starting to enjoy the brushless more and more. Their slickness is almost unparalleled.
Could you dedicate your Monday morning shave to my dad. Who passed away on August 8th 2021. I would appreciate it very much Sinatra Lennon. Thanks. Happy shaving to you.
Oh, no, Chad. I just now got to reading my comments today. I’m sorry for your loss. My thoughts go out to you and your family during this difficult time.
Cool video seeing old barbasol styles. The modern day look is OK but like the 80s or 90s version then also the anniversary edition. Kinda surprised you don't have the limited edition jurassic park cans when they were out. Also wish they still made some with menthol and the shave gel. 80s and 90s were great
Mr barbasol, I put my 4 differing cans of barbasol on the shelf of love behind me in my latest vid, lol 😂 no lavinder my mistake, have a great weekend buddy 👍
Shaving foam is a good trick I have learned from life guards if you have an insect bite, you have touched jellyfish, a sun burn or you ran into nettle plants. It both cools and moisturizes and it removes the poison that might be on top of your skin ;).
i have a lot of Barbasol as well even shaved with the multi blade cartridge razor today great video n´shave.i bought all the cans well two are no longer aound i bought from The US expensive now new import made it even more insane...oh the two no longer around is the Arctic chill, and moisturizing Stay safe. Cheers....Peter ps love Dirty Harry just bought the DVD boxset
Which one do you prefer - brushless no lather shaving cream/ gels or the thick foamy creamy slick kinds ? I think the brushless see through is a great concept, just doesn't pacify a shaving hobbyist enough.
Talk about blasts from the past! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Just acquired a col conk / merkur razor #704… ill be sure to lend it to you after 30 years if either one of us don’t suffer senility and be like: why am I watching this guy / why am I holding this razor in front of a camera 🤣 *ALSO HEADS UP- Local marshalls, tj maxx and burlington coat factory are blowing out Proraso products for $3-4* stock up and good hunting
I have a lot of Vintage Barbasol, some NOS. Just can’t bring myself to use because it’s not been used in all these years and survived I just can’t. But that’s just my preference. But love all of the videos.
I never seen or heard of Barbasol gel before and I never new they did Barbasol with menthol. They should bring it back. The only thing I don’t like about Barbasol and foams is it lacks slickness. I tend to need more water with it. Gels seem to be slicker and gives more moisture.
The tiny can never gets old lol. Awesome collection! I definitely need to try out the 1919 one of these days. I've actually got a small container of NOS vintage Brut foam. It smells kind of off though, I think similar to how you've described some of the weird smelling vintage stuff you've come across. Must be something in them that turns after many years.
Would really like to try barbasol some day but it costs like, at least, 20 euros a can shipped where I live so really not worth it, in my opinion. Have to try and find it though if I ever go to some country that sells it! But good video as always, keep 'em coming!
Barbasol is around $2/can here in the US. It’s one of the least expensive shaving products you can find on our supermarket shelves…and a really nice performer. I used it in last night’s shave. I hope you get to try it out one day.
@@johnny_3514 Yeah I think Sinatra has also mentioned what you said in some of his older videos. It does seem like a US only brand which is a shame. The only shaving products we really have here are your basic gillette and nivea, which work fine but you really have to go out of your way to find something else. And thanks, here's hoping for it!
Jeez where do you live where you have such high humidity? Do you store it inside a dark cabinet? Instead of storing in the bathroom let it dry on your dresser inside your room where it gets more air and closer to a window with light.
I just have a question, are these products really from the 40s and 50s like you mentioned or were made recently just to look like the old ones, because don't these creams and cans expire? Isn't it bad to use on skin?

Me too.
@The-Metal-Life indeed.
@The-Metal-Life Yes, it is very slick and I have a couple of tubes on hand. I gave it rave reviews.
Given a choice, though, I like the older stuff.

Hello buddy happy Friday i enjoy it very much i hope you have a great weekend ahead
I live about 45 minutes away from where its manufactured (Dublin, OH).

Such a lovely collection and a fun video!💙🌞💙 yes, as far as I know Etsy is global. I've been able to buy from shops across the world.

0:53 menthol shaving 🪒 cream from Barbasol is my favorite scent.
If Barbasol ever goes out of business you're all set!!😁😁🪒🪒

Better solution than having a friend pee on it!😁
@@eminusipi Yeah, definitely 😂
When you pass away (not for a good long time of course) they should make your headstone in the shape and graphics of a Barbasol can.😁😁
awesome video! I love throw back barbasol products!
Barbasol with Menthol? Nedry from Jurassic Park would be proud!
Great video Brian! You are ready to become the official Barbasol spokesperson!

It seems like things were made better back then. Great videos btw!
Barbasol is my favorite products also great with de razor!!!!
IMHO it works better with a safety razor than a cartridge.
I dig nostalgia
So am I.
I hope that glass jar completes the collection! It's certainly one of my favorites to use
I love this thing! I can’t thank you enough for the heads up.
@@SinatraLennon Not a problem, as much I would have liked to have a 2nd I know you've been looking for so long so I knew I had to tell you asap
Nicely done there mr Lennon. Beautiful tour

Hooray for Barbasol!!!
Happy Friday!!!
Great video SL. Do they still make the sensitive brushless cream in the orange striped tube? Loved the ending. Hope your well. Take care

Nice Barbasol collection. I have the jurasic park edition. Do you know how the word Barbasol came about??
...greatest Barbasol collector on earth...
You have such a pleasant personality, voice, and delivery. I'd watch a video of you showing how to slice bread.
Ha! Thanks, Jerry.

Proraso sells shaving cream in tubes. I don't see why Barbasol can't do the same today.

I really want to try Barbasol. Unfortunately it isn’t available where I live

How do you get ahold of some of your stuff from them? I love Barbasol, but it’s hard to try to get some of that dating you got
Hello, I don't think the can you mentioned is from 1972 since it has a barcode. Could it possibly be from the late 70's or early 80's?
I wish Barbasol was available in Europe. Curious about the scent!
Quite surprised by the good condition of the cream in the tube. Nice score :)
Howdy Sinatra, yep Etsy is worldwide 😎🪒💈Have a good one and stay safe. Did you say "Oh Scheiss" at the end?
Barbasol for life💈
Anyone know of a way to speed up the drying time for a Boar brush mine can take 5-6 days to dry

Do you still have that Gillette trac 2
I do!
I hate brushless creams but enjoy Barbasol in a can. It would be great if Barbasol came out with a cream that lathered with a brush.
I knew the do you feel like punk reference because my dad or uncle will say that during 31 when someone’s thinking of flopping.
Yes Sir
"You know that I am a fan of Barbasol shaving cream," Well gee, judging from the thumbnail, I never would have noticed. LOL.
pucker up buttercup LOL
Did I shave both my chins or just one? Huh punk, you feelin lucky. Hahahaha that was pretty funny

They really are old and from those time periods!
Thanks for the Barbasol history lesson. I have a tube of the 1919. But I prefer to lather.
