I’ve been playing MKX when I used to play on the Xbox one. 2 years later and now I have the game for PS4. Yay...also I’m incredibly rusty with Scorpion, but I can play as Jason.

During your combo. after f4 aura, try stand 3 teleport. It's easier than 11 teleport. Cause stand 3 is 7 frames while stand 1 is 9 frames

Before i say anything, i'm sorry, Super. You are such a great player at other characters. But not Scorp. Why? Let's talk about it. [Good Mythical Morning theme]
Before this, the inputs are:
1 - Square or X
2 - Triangle or Y
3 - X or A
4 - Circle or B
(Almost everybody knows)
Now hellfire specials, i'm gonna type it like this:
Fireball - B
Hell Fire - F
Flame Aura - A
Okay, so, you start a combo with a string, not back+3 (stand low) or for+2 or 4 (overheads). Remember, Scorpion is like a black hole, once you are near, black hole will have guarentee kill, so does Scorp. Just getting one hit is precious, 'cause Scorp has a lot of stuns in his hands. Spear,A are stuns that are very damaging, especially A. And you can't B cancel. B cancel is very essential, used when enemy block your hits, you can do a B cancel then combo. And stuns are for combo connector. Example: back+3/for+2/4, combo, if mid - combo blocked B cancel, combo, stun (Spear, A), then startup (the back+3/for+2/4), combo, stun, rinse and repeat. F is just for clearing noobs.

You can watch UA-cam vids, plenty of them on scorps. But if I were you I’d just wait for mk11 because If you get too used to these mechanics the new game will confuse you even more.

Trying to get better at fighting games, what does it mean when super says something is "plus" or not.
When a move or combo string is plus on block that means that it's safe. You can block or do a move before your opponent can counter attack. When a move is unsafe, or negative on block, you will be vulnerable to a counter attack for a few frames. There are some great videos by people like Sajam, Perfect Legend, MK Reo if u want some tips from some real experts.
a troodon “plus” is a move that gives hit or block advantage. they work the same but i’ll give you an example of block advantage- you block a normal/string your opponent threw out that’s plus 2 on block. now if you try to press a button your move will come out 2 frames slower than it’s normal start up. it’s generally wise not to press buttons when the opponents plus, since whatever move you throw out will be slower by however many frames they’re plus by. just think.. “the more plus the move he does is, if i try to press a button it will be that much slower.”
a troodon you have options like armor when the opponent is plus, but some moves are so plus they “jail” which means you can’t armor, move, or press buttons and you have to hold whatever is coming.
Thanks everyone, how do you know if a move is plus? Or is that something you just figure out character by character?
a troodon if you go to a characters movelist look at “block adv” on any move. if it’s a positive number it would be plus.
