Ahh that's amazing to hear Happy Birthday! Hope you've had a great Birthday? Thank you so much for your kind words, we've loved our time in Estonia & can't wait to return 😊 See you next week, plenty of adventures to come 😊

Having an Estonian wife, I knew some of what you would see. BUT you have also shown me places the wheelchair would never get to, and helped to complete more of MY picture of Estonia too. I know my trips there have never been long enough, so can imagine the love you now have of the country. Keep up with the travels, we love seeing the world through your eyes.
We’re so pleased to share more of Estonia with you. We loved how wheelchair friendly so many places are (old town cobbles not included) thank you for such lovely words! We’re so excited to fulfil our travel dreams and share it with you☺️
It's been 6 wonderful months since I've watched you. You have left a deep imprint on my thoughts with your adventures in Estonia. I was born in Saaremaa, but I live in Tallinn. Your love for my country is simply amazing. I hope that when you take a break from your activities sometimes, you will come back here to rest properly in Estonia again. Have a safe trip, be healthy, keep yourself and welcome back to Estonia.
Thank you so much for those lovely words. We are so pleased to hear our videos have had such a positive impact, we feel so lucky to have seen so much of Estonia but yes we will most definitely be back. It has a very special place in our hearts and as we continue our travels we speak constantly of our Estonian adventures still ☺️
I'm welling up here, so emotional seeing you leave Estonia 😭, onwards and upwards to your next adventure which i'm looking forward to being on the journey with you x
Man, you are like half Estonians in my eyes now :) My best to you guys, thank you for all the videos and I do hope to see you guys back in Estonia one day, you are always welcome here.
I can’t believe this is the end of the Estonia series for now! How bitter sweet 🥲 That will be such a special place to come back to visit in the future. Looks like it was such a nice apartment to stay in for so long!
....just echoing everyone else: Loved your Estonian series! For those of us unable to visit Eesti right now, it was a great vicarious adventure. Your love of country was truly touching. The offer stands for dinner when you return (ps you were killing me with those garlic sticks... fav). Best of luck!
Your recap was so sweet! From the front page of the newspaper & staring in the film, to the lovely hikes and swims you did - you did so much and will have lovely memories to look back on. Worthy of popping some bubbles indeed. Cheers!
Safe travels, guys! I'm happy you stayed in my home country long enough to appreciate it more than an average tourist would, even though the reason for your stay was not so positive. I wish for you to have more adventures like this one and learn more about cultures of the world we all live in!
We feel very lucky to have had this experience☺️ it’s changed the way we hope to travel, we hope to be able to spend a little longer in each place - maybe not 6 months everywhere😅 but long enough to learn a bit more as we go!
Aww that's a rough and emotional goodbye after nearly 6 months! Very interesting that you had Estonia ID's, you can return within 5 years! Yay! Danish King's Garden is so beautiful. It's hilarious that there was a pigeon flying in the tourist center. Off to Finland!
Such an emotional ending to your Estonian adventures. Too bad that bottle machine didn't work. Such a drag when you put in the effort to do the right thing and recycle and it doesn't work out. Talinn heroes saving a pigeon 👏 Loved your look back at your time in Estonia and I remember your jumps into the Baltic!! Great stuff guys ❤
Yes we tried so hard and had always planned to recycle them but hopefully someone will have seen them there and had more success with it. We were so pleased to help the pigeon it was so distressed hitting the windows! It was really fun looking through all our Estonia footage, those Baltic plunges seem so long now, so many happy memories. Thank you for watching! ☺️
The funniest thing was the fact there's another one of these machines at the location they went to next, in the car park between the local council and the big supermarket next door, as well as one at Balti Jaama Turg. But, oh well. :)
Awww finally leaving Estonia, you two had some amazing experiences there. That bottle return was crazy frustrating! Too bad it didnt work properly. But the paintings around the drains on the ground are nice reminders. Rhubarb lemonade sounds great, and the 19 dollar ferry seemed like a great deal, the inside area looked so nice. Looking forward to your Finland adventures!
wow guys!! 6 months there how bitter sweet your adventures have been amazing over the past 6 months!! loved the recap at the start!! yaaay for country number 5! i love those bottle things we have them here in nz too, but they work haha! haha oh no they kept coming back... i agree you try to do the right thing and its not even working its so frustrating! cant wait to see what you get up to in Finland! :)
Think we managed to find the only bottle recycling machine that didn’t work!😅 pleased to hear they have them in NZ too, hopefully when we get there we’ll use a machine that works! ♻️
Awww guys! So exciting that you’re going to a new place...but so many happy memories in Estonia, your flashback highlights though 🥺🥺🥺 The ferry looked amazing and we’re really looking forward to seeing your adventures in your 5th country 🤗
What an emotional episode! I can't believe you guys were in Estonia for almost 6 months. It must have been so bittersweet to run errands on your last day and to be able to revisit all your favorite places. You've made some incredible memories...like being on the front page of a newspaper! I loved the flashbacks so much. I am really looking forward to your new adventures in Finland. "Are you Finnish?" - haha! That was an easy mistake especially on your first day there!
It was lovely spending our last day running around the city sorting things out and taking in the sights one more time! We’re so pleased you liked the flashbacks, we have so many great memories of those streets and wanted to find a way to get that across here☺️ Yeh the ‘Finnish’ comment totally threw me on that first evening! 😂
Awww guys wow such an emotional journey. We totally understand the excitement for the next country but sadness leaving the place you have called home the last 6 months. Cant even imagine after 6 months we were stuck in Japan 3.5 months and felt similar feels. Love that you guys got to say goodbyes to your friends and get to eat at some of your favorite spots before you left. So sweet that they held you luggage so you could run your errands without them and enjoy the day. Was the ferry 19 each or 19 for both of you?
Aw guys, we got all the feels watching your final day / hours in Estonia 🥰 🇪🇪 Wow what a beautiful country you both have showed us, we are excited to travel their one day. Shame i should see Kirsty getting super emotional! But i always say if you fee sad, its because it really meant something to you. We loved your Estonia series and we are looking forward to the next Finland video. Hahaha Kirsty, I laughed so loud at your "are you Finish" story 🤣🤣 definitely something i would have also done! So relatable.
Thank you! 😊 It was emotional editing this one, took a long time but we wanted to do it well. Yeh the Finnish comment totally got me, just going to blame it on a long busy day and confusion of being in a new country after so long! 😂
Actually every supermarket have bottle recycling machines, on your route u had a few of them like at Rimi. Also you tried to put yoghurt bottles, they are not deposited (you didnt pay 10c for them), only drinking bottles with deposit and [A] or [B] sign on them can be returned. But still very funny, how super easy bottle returning process turned in throwing them into garbage :D P.S last error message on machine said that last bottle was unrecongized, so you should remove that, and then press button and get you money :D (someone got lucky that day)
We tried 2 Rimi’s the one opposite Depoo in Telliskivi didn’t have a machine so we messaged friends and were told to try Viru shopping centre, oh well hopefully someone benefited from our lack of bottle recycling expertise😅
I just stumbled upon your travel videos in Estonia, in the midst of my work day and I've procrastinated a lot during this time, but it has all been worth it, haha. Beautifully composed videos, drone shots and interesting narration. You also seem to have great chemistry together, without interrupting each other when describing different moments and so on. Not to mention how kind and polite you both are as a person. You've earned yourself another subscriber from Estonia. Best of luck on your upcoming travels!
Oh wow, that’s some very lovely things to hear. Thank you so much! 😊 we’re so pleased to have you here, welcome and we look forward to sharing many more adventures!
What a joy it's been watching you fall in love with our sweet little country! You came with open minds and open hearts and truly embraced the unknown, and by doing so allowed Estonia to enchant you. Seeing you speak so highly of it with those big grins on your faces, exuding joy and genuine love for the place was so uplifting! Thank you for sharing these emotions with the world! I myself just moved back to Estonia after three years of being away and I'm going through similar feelings of happiness. Best of luck in your future travels!
Estonia will forever have a place in our hearts, we still talk about it almost every day and have so many plans for things we want to do/see on future visits. Hope you’re enjoying being back there!
Oh no, can't believe you are actually finish(finished lol) with Estonia 😭 it feels like I'm finished too, the vlogs were so good!! I was hoping that wind will pick up and blow you back with umbrella to magical land of bogs 🙂 It's also very symbolic that from now on british people won't be able to pack their suitcase and move to tallinn... You should have kept those IDs! Can't wait to see more of Helsinki very glad you are not finish yet lol 😂
'Actually Finnish' 😂😂 Like what you did there! We're sad to have left, we've definitely found a '2nd home'. Haha it felt like the wind was going to take us back to Tallinn & although things have changed im sure moving to Tallinn would be possible 😊 Glad you enjoyed them, we're far from 'Finnished' 😂😜
Thank you for visiting Estonia and I wish you success on future trips. Nevertheless, I hope that Estonia always has a special place in your heart. As Estonia is a small country, you probably don't realise it, but you are already a local celebrities here and many people are talking about you :) Our government should give you some financial support because you are marketing Estonia to tourists on a very positive side. And I am absolutely convinced that some people will discover Estonia thanks to you! This is not a utopia that I am talking about, such support measures should exist. Anyway... It is not easy to reach the hearts of cold Estonians, but you did it! :)
Wow, thank you so much for saying such wonderful things. Estonia will always be very special to us and we hope to visit many more times in future. We are so pleased that our adventures during this most unusual year have put a smile on so many faces, we have received messages from people that have planned future trips around things in our videos and that truly makes all the hours of editing and filming so worth while! 😊
Yeah that machine hadn’t been maintained & already had bottles clogging up the conveyor at the back. Good to hear the system works well in general 🙌🏼♻️
Great video folks. When I was living there I used to leave my empty evian,Al'coq, saku bottles in the bins attached to lamposts for the homeless. They used to go round at night and pick them up. I would put a few estonian kroons in the bottles for a surprise for them. Did you visit Old Hansa for dinner one night.? Great restaurant. Himalayan lamb every time we went there. Delicious. Is the beer house still there. ? Had some amazing nights there. Friday night's live band, and a different band upstairs midnight till 3am fri /sat. Great food too. There was a nimega bar / nimeta bar in the old town .used to be owned by a English guy. Used to show the English football in there. There was a Russian restaurant called Trokia, was in the worlds 100 best restaurants at the time, although to be honest, when we went there,I'd of been happier in a harvester. Good luck guys.
What a great idea! We should’ve just done that with our bottles. Hopefully someone who needs the money found our bottles and recycled them successfully😊 we went to Olde Hansa a few times, it’s a great place! We went to many bars in the Old Town but didn’t find any run by an English guy and we chatted to a lot of bar owners! 😅
Welcome to Finland. I hope you can get in because at the moment Finland has somewhat tighter Covid restrictions than Estonia. You maybe recommended or sent to 2 weeks quarantine (not 100% sure how it's done at the moment) but after that i don't think you're going to have any problems. It's highly recommended (but not mandatory) to wear facemask on public transport and in stores and those are easy to buy from almost any store or pharmacy. Especially the disposable masks. Most stores recommend paying with card instead of cash. In Helsinki region public transportation you need to buy ticket in advance before getting on board because bus drivers are not selling tickets and tram drivers stopped selling tickets few years ago. Also trains don't sell tickets onboard except maybe long distance trains (again that is something i'm not 100% sure of) Tickets can be bought from R-kiosks and some stores and with a HSL smartphone app (which is slightly cheaper than buying from kiosks or stores). Edit: That same app also has a route guide that can help you get around around Helsinki region using public transport, bike or walking.
@@TideKnotTravellers No problem. At least it's cheaper than taxi and it covers bus, tram, metro, commuter trains in HSL area and the ferry to Suomenlinna sea fortress but i think that place is best seen in summer and difficult to explore fully with this much snow as we have right now.
I just found your channel! Wow, I think I stayed at the same Eurohostel when I was in Helsinki in June. The lobby looked so familiar! I will go back and watch your Finland and Estonia series now. Unfortunately, we only spent one night in Estonia, and wish we had stayed longer.
It was a nice little hostel in Helsinki (well quite big I guess) we almost only spent 2 nights in Estonia until the pandemic altered our plans 😅 6 months and there’s still more we didn’t see! Thank you for watching and welcome to our channel.
10:49 Why did you look up the most remote and abandoned station, usually stores have one attached on the back or sides that is taken cared of several times every day. On the screen it say's "unrecognised bottle!" with red and bottom left it tells you "Support number 6005626 w w w,taara,ee", that button is to get your check and on the small building/unit there's somewhere marked where you can take the check to to get the money (usually the store that is attached with), also you can go to the store it is attached to and tell the mashine is broken and you allready inserted this number of bottles but it did not give you the check so to reinburst you guys (also mention you have it all in video). They will fix the issue and give you the money (might need to show the video but usually if it is not an absurd number they will give it after they confirm the device is not functioning correctly and giving check's, that takes only fes seconds to confirm). The station you found seeme to be abandoned, liderally, i was amazed there was electricity still on. All the ones in my life i have seen have been in much better condition. May i ask where it was ?
Next time we’ll get it right😅 but we tried so hard to find one, we thought it would be as simple as going to our local Rimi but none of them had a machine. So we asked people and they suggested the shopping centre at Viru gate. So we went there, asked the staff working there and they sent us to the car park in Viru.
What an absolutely gorgeous country that Estonia is! I think if you have to be stuck somewhere because of Covid, you really lucked out on where you were stuck!
@@TideKnotTravellers Yes, you were lucky. You are two of the only people I know who had luck from the lockdown! I am a US citizen; born in the US; however, my ancestry is from the Czech Republic; but I have never been to Europe, though I certainly grew up with many elements of the Czech culture. I think all of the countries that were behind the iron curtain are just beautiful, almost unspoiled and they retain so much of their culture and history, yet they are modern enough to offer conveniences that we westerners take for granted. It seems like Estonia was also economically a good place to be, not as expensive as western Europe or even compared to Finland. Is that true? Thank you for making so many beautiful videos. I knew Tallinn was beautiful from photos, but I had no idea just how beautiful. In fact, the whole country of Estonia is as picturesque as it can be! I wonder if Estonians realize just how fortunate they are; though it is obvious that Koit does!
Yes, Estonia is more affordable than Finland but not much different price wise than Western Europe, food and accommodation is similar to what you’d pay in say Italy, Spain or France. Since doing this series we have had lots of messages from Estonian’s saying they loved seeing their country here, it’s so easy to overlook beauty on your own doorstep. You’re right though, Koit certainly appreciates Estonia!🇪🇪😊
Actually deposit packaging system in Estonia works very well, like almost perfectly. I remember there were even news that somehow Estonians are returning more bottles than circles in the market. Some "clever" guys from Finland/Latvia/Lithuania collected bottles there (no deposit package system there) and took them to Estonia. But good news ends there, all other waste materials are not collected properly. Right now quite a scandal here, how people wash their packaging, sort them out correctly, but almost all of it still ends up in oven and not recycled.
Welcome to Finland ! There is No Snow in Tallinn ? When was this Filmed ? At Helsinki it has snowed jan 11 2021 - two days in a row - so be prepared ! Dont Worry - Helsinki is The Best Oeganized City in The World - even It snows whole week ! Cheers & No Worries
The recycling works with Cans & Bottles that are bought in Estonia ! Has a certain D ( deposit ) on the side - so bottom first to the automat ! Easy - even kids know how those work ! You should have asked someone - in 6 months ! Thanks for The Videos - Good to see Tallinn - Millions of Miles Away ! ALL THE BEST - YOU ARE LOVELY !
Moved from Helsinki to Tallinn one and half year ago and it was best decision in my life. Life in Finland sucks, Estonia rocks, there is no way me to go back to Finland anymore. Luckily Estonia and Finnish languages are very similar and I can already have a conversation with people in Estonian language! Bought an apartment in Telliskivi, quite near of the yellow building where you were located. If I would know back then that you were in Tallinn, I definitely would came to say hi to you and maybe show some places. :)
@@xwiirastusx Thanks ! They are just - running late - with the last YT Videos ! They just jan 15 2021 came out with one - That is even Better than DARUDE RUN at Helsinki ! Its called DARUDE SANDSTORM - but This covers The same part of The City - Better & Gives a Nicer wiev of Downtown & Harbour area !
Did you notice the languages similarity on the screen? (Finnish "Tervetuloa laivaan" - Estonian "Tere tulemast laevale" and Swedish "Valkommen ombord" and English "Welcome on board")
@@TideKnotTravellers when you come to Sweden, you see how Swedish is similar to English. At least much more similar than Finnish and Estonian! Maybe the spoken language is not 100% intelligible, but the written one is very recognizable! I mean the vocabulary, grammar and the way of making phrases.
Hi! I am thinking to go to Tallinn for several months. Is it a good time to be there from March-June? I wanted to avoid cold weather 😅 as well, i am not sure when the video was shooted but there seems to be a sense of normalcy there, are there Covid restrictions such as masks mandate etc?
Yes, definitely a great time to go. Although it was still a bit cold when we arrived in March. To completely avoid cold weather maybe visit April-August. All our Estonian videos were filmed from March-September 2020. No one is wearing masks in Estonia they are respectful and give space, it was lovely and normal there. 😊
It only occurred to me now: in our culture a bird trapped inside a building is considered an ill omen. It could represent the soul of a deceased one unable or unwilling to leave the mortal coil. It is imperative to set the bird free, which is exactly what you did. A gesture highly symbolic, I think - now you yourselves were finally able to move on to other places, to new horizons.
Hello guys i love the background music can you share the title of the music and the singer it floating in my head 😂😂 its likw this na na na " paradise " this one what the title? Thank yoy 🤗
Sorry for the delayed reply we just found your message. There are 5 different tracks in this video so not sure which one you mean but all of them are written in the description under the music section 😊
@@TideKnotTravellers Did you enjoy KUMU? You gave us a snippet of the exhibition of the works by Vello Vinn, a psychedelic/surrealist Estonian artist. Adore his stuff.
@@xwiirastusx we did enjoy KUMU although we have to admit we know very little about art but we wanted to visit because we heard so much about it. It was fascinating (even if we didn’t understand it all) 🙃

But still very funny, how super easy bottle returning process turned in throwing them into garbage :D
P.S last error message on machine said that last bottle was unrecongized, so you should remove that, and then press button and get you money :D (someone got lucky that day)
We tried 2 Rimi’s the one opposite Depoo in Telliskivi didn’t have a machine so we messaged friends and were told to try Viru shopping centre, oh well hopefully someone benefited from our lack of bottle recycling expertise😅
8:20 you had a fan saying "tere!" And waved 😂😂😂
Haha yes he's now famous in Estonia 😂😂
Byeeeeee Estonia!!!!!😭 I loved that 2 euros umbrella ☔️ 😂 I ‘m looking forward to watching your adventures in Finland guys!
Thank you - that cheap umbrella has saved us on a few occasions! 😂 See you for our upcoming adventures 😊
Nice one guys 🤩
Thank you 😊
@@TideKnotTravellers thank you lovely couples @Tide Knot Travellers..see you on your next journey TRAVELLLL on the road again yeheyyyy....🤗💃🕺
@@TideKnotTravellers 👍👌😎🏁🏃♂️🏃♀️😀👏
Hope you tried the raindeer burgers at Finland market ...they are so good
Thank you for visiting Estonia and I wish you success on future trips. Nevertheless, I hope that Estonia always has a special place in your heart. As Estonia is a small country, you probably don't realise it, but you are already a local celebrities here and many people are talking about you :)
Our government should give you some financial support because you are marketing Estonia to tourists on a very positive side.
The machines actually work well, you for some reason had a large bottle that got atuck there. I've never had it happen myself.
Yeah that machine hadn’t been maintained & already had bottles clogging up the conveyor at the back. Good to hear the system works well in general 🙌🏼♻️
Wish u all the best :)
Thank you Andre take care 😊
"Are you finnish?" is one of my favourite movie lines from the 90ies comedy Once Upon a Crime
Ahh happy to have reminded you of it! That line must confuse people a lot (I hope😅)
Is it finish?
26:10 Tallinn: I'm not crying - you are crying!
Haha it was a poignant moment
Wow, I am glad you spent so Much time in our little part of the world, and I really hope that you come back!
We loved it and will definitely be back soon! ☺️
@@TideKnotTravellers :)
I hope you enjoy your stay in Finland🇫🇮
Thank you 😊
Welcome to Finland.
Thank you so much for all the info 😊 we used the HSL app which was really easy to use and figure everything out, it’s a great set up!
@@TideKnotTravellers No problem. At least it's cheaper than taxi and it covers bus, tram, metro, commuter trains in HSL area and the ferry to Suomenlinna sea fortress but i think that place is best seen in summer and difficult to explore fully with this much snow as we have right now.
welcome finland
Thank you! ☺️
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!! crying emoji
Very much how we felt that day! 😭
Sooo happy you love Estonia, love your videos❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much ☺Estonia is an incredible country and will forever have a special place in our hearts, we hope to return often in future!
Best of luck to both you... i can't sleep without seeking your viedo. Greetings from Bangladesh...
You are welcome to Bangladesh..
Thank you so much 😀
10:49 Why did you look up the most remote and abandoned station, usually stores have one attached on the back or sides that is taken cared of several times every day.
Yep, to understand 🇪🇪 Estonia you need at least 1 year(if not few), but 6 summer months will give you a taste.
Maybe we need another 6 months! 😍🇪🇪
What an absolutely gorgeous country that Estonia is! I think if you have to be stuck somewhere because of Covid, you really lucked out on where you were stuck!
We really did. We feel very lucky to have spent this time in Estonia 🇪🇪❤️
In Tallinn Old Town I happened to see then Polish president Lech Walesa, from 20 metres disntance by Poland's Estonian Embassy.
That’s really cool, wonder if we walked by anyone like that during our time without even realising it🙃
Actually deposit packaging system in Estonia works very well, like almost perfectly.
It's good to hear it works well. Hopefully someone was able to make use of ours and deposit them correctly somewhere.
What a gorgeous apartment in Tallinn! I would have a hard time leaving it.
We really loved it, beautiful location☺️ One week went by so quickly!
It is always hard to leave a place you love.
There is snow there now but this was filmed at the start of Autumn😊
Welcome to Finland!
Thank you 😊
Moved from Helsinki to Tallinn one and half year ago and it was best decision in my life. :)
This Cant be a Day ago ? No snow at Tallinn jan 11 2021 !
@@holoholopainen1627 They were filming in August/September.
Ahh yes they're similar. After spending a while in this part of the world we can just about differentiate them ☺
@@TideKnotTravellers when you come to Sweden, you see how Swedish is similar to English. At least much more similar than Finnish and Estonian! Maybe the spoken language is not 100% intelligible, but the written one is very recognizable! I mean the vocabulary, grammar and the way of making phrases.
11:33 This is the complete tram route: Tram route nr 2, Tallinn ( ua-cam.com/video/15oNllCJaFI/v-deo.html&t ).

Humalakoda makes good beers. I gather you two are not into that stuff.
We love Humalakoda, they have a great selection of beers you're right 👌🏼
20:10 a random fact: in Mandarin Chinese Tallinn (or Tal Lin) means "forest of towers". How accurate!
That is very apt! ☺️
Wow, that is strangely lovely. It was literally moments before we left too! ☺️
I'd love to carry a piano there :)
@@TideKnotTravellers its Okey but i like the background music ❤
Dear British couple, Are you working for the SIS.GOV.UK. ? Me too . 🇬🇧💚🇬🇧🌹
