When I was young I loved the rides. At age 71 I don’t care for the rides but I do enjoy our county fair for the fair food, the stitching and quilting entries and the animals
Have fun at Disneyland! I know it will be fun for all of you. If I were to go to Disneyland, I wouldn’t be able to ride the rides due to a medical condition. But I would have a great time watching my granddaughter on the rides. Happy stitching!

Disneyland is my favorite theme park. I haven't been in a long while but imagine I can still do most of the rides. Disney doesn't have the huge roller coasters that I can't do anymore. Have a wonderful time with your children and grandkids!
My favorite amusement park was Legoland in Denmark cause kids were so excited about it.

Loved taking my son to Land of Make Believe in New Jersey. He went on the water rides and lazy river while I stitched. That was a summer trip for us. No rides for me. Enjoy Disney with your grandchildren!!

My favorite amusement park is Dollywood. I enjoy visiting there in the Fall. It’s so pretty that time of year and the weather is usually cooler. No Rides. I love the shows, the scenery and the food.

I've only been to a few amusement parks. But I'm going to say Hershey Park is a favorite. I grew up not too far from it and also worked there for two summers in High school. So many great memories! Happy Stitching!
What fun to take the grandkids to Disney World. I have not been to Disney World in over 20 years as both are kids are in the late 30's now and we have no grandchildren yet but we always had so much fun there. I also remember going to Cedar Point and Hershey Park when I was young which are both fun too. I love to ride!! Very interested in the Hilton Head event as my brother has a house one of the golf courses and we end up going there so my hubby can golf so maybe I could attend with my SIL as she stitched too!
Have a wonderful time with your Grands and kiddos!! I love the Animal Kingdom most, but all four are great! I personally don’t ride much at all, but our kids and grands ride everything!! We’re heading down to the area next Friday and our bunch is excited! Have fun!!

Great news! I am so excited about the Hilton Head Island retreat. We have vacationed there for several years and love it! I will surely be registering. Have a great time with your grandchildren at Disney. I am a person who does not do amusement parks, however, I do enjoy a local county fair when it comes around. I do not usually partake of the rides.

Have a great time with your kids and grandkids! We've been so fortunate to have brought our kids to Disney 3 times when they were younger, and had a fabulous time each time we went. But to me, Disney amusement parks are in their own category. For a regular old amusement park, my favorite would be Knoebels in PA. Old time rides, great value, clean, friendly, and reasonable (at least it was when we were last there a few years ago). Yes, I do ride the rides, but not as many as I used to...the joints are too old 😂

I just got back from Disneyland, California Adventures and Universal Studios had a blast and the rides are a definite yes, good things at all 3 places!!
My favorite amusement park is Disney World (all 4 parks). I’ve been blessed to have lived in Florida for the last 5 years and have an annual pass to Disney. Before that I lived in CA for 15 years and had a pass to Disneyland for 6 of those years. I love Disneyland, but Disney World to me is just on another level. 😊
I have been to both Disneyland and Disneyworld. I loved both of them. In Iowa we have Adventureland that is located near Des Moines. I really like that park also. When I was younger I loved all the rides. Now I am kind of picky on what I ride. Have fun with your grandchildren!!

Disneyland in Anaheim, CA is my favorite amusement park. I used to go all the time. I rode almost all of the rides at the time. Now that I am older, I haven’t been in years and I live 20 minutes from there. If I were to go now, I would go on some of the more tame rides. Disneyland is such a fun place. Enjoy your vacation with your family. I’m sure your grandkiddos will love seeing you and have a lot of fun at Disney.

I haven’t been to Disney in awhile (over 20 years) but I do remember how fun it was. As a parent I enjoy the smaller parks with less crowd. There’s a place in PA called Dutch Wonderland and it’s a great place for little kids. And I do ride the rides! Hershey Park is fun too. Went there this summer and had a great time. Can’t pick just one I guess. Enjoy your time with your family!
Dollywood amusement park is great. I love the concerts they have… I do try to ride some rides 😂
I have only been to Disneyland and that was years ago with my oldest. We rode a few of the tame rides, but we aren't into rides or theme parks. Hope you have a great time with your grands!

We have Valley Fair in MN. It is an amazing place. Of all the rides at this park, I enjoy the Antique Cars the most.

I really like your Summer of Bees pattern and purchased it as well as a Bella Bundle, and 1/2 yds of 3 fabrics. Surprisingly, I've never been to an amusement park unless you want to count the California State Fair. I don't do rides because I don't like getting sick to my stomach. LOL I prefer to see the animals, especially horses. If I can pet an animal, that's excellent too. Thanks for sharing. Have fun in Florida, and take care.
As a child we went to Riverside Park or Lake Compounce in Connecticut and Massachusetts. All the rides were fun even for someone like me afraid of heights!
My favorite amusement park is Disney World in Florida. I went 2 years ago at the age of 63. I will make my third trip this fall! I go on some rides when my grandkids shame me into it 😂
I’m a a WDW girl myself and probably Epcot is my favorite. I absolutely love the rides, there isn’t one I won’t get on , lol
My favorite was Disney in California. Second was Epcot. And I like riding anything except for roller coasters!
Not a huge fan of amusement parks but Animal Kingdom is nice. I will ride roller coasters if someone needs a buddy but I prefer to walk the park as others wait in line. Maybe zoos are more my speed 🙃. Have a safe trip!
I love Disneyland, and I will go on most rides, but not all. We used to have passes (I live about 20 minutes down the street from Disneyland), and we would go one or two evenings during the week to walk around, have dinner, and people watch. Waiting for the reservation requirements to drop and then we will probably get passes again.
Bush Gardens was my favorite place. I loved the rides. Disney World was nice but they didn't have the cool rides that the garden had. It's been years since I've rode anything. My age caught up with me and I don't do amusement parks any longer. We did go to Dollywood and it was very interesting but not for the amusement part...mainly to look at the shops. That was a few years ago when he had his motorcycle and I had my trike. Oh what fun that was.
Oh yes, we have a Yorkie....bark for hours. Lol

My favorite amusement park was Joyland in Wichita, Kansas. My favorite ride was the merry-go-round. Joyland is no longer around. It was closed down.

Universal Studios is my favorite park (sorry Disney fans!) It has Harry Potter world, so I have to choose Universal! And yes to MOST rides. I still haven't worked up the courage to ride the VelociCoaster!

It has been awhile since I have been to an amusement park, but Kings Island outside of Cincinnati Ohio would be my fave, I could only do the easy rides at my age, no roller coasters for me!😂
I've never been to Disney and don't ride the rides (I get motion sick just thinking about getting motion sick!) Because I don't ride most of the rides, amusement parks are kind of "meehah" to me. When my son was about 10, we did take him to Universal Studios in Orlando. It was great fun. We purchased a package that gave us a tour guide for the park. It was great because we got to go through some short cuts to get to the front of the line and we got to go behind-the-scenes to see how a few of the rides work.

Elayne, I just don’t think anything can top Disney World! It is cliche, but it is truly a magical place. Love to ride, but as I age, I have to be more selective…lol…😉
I am more of a beach waterpark type, love Wildwood at the Jersey Shore, however these bones are getting to old for waterparks etc, but lots of great memories
