I understand that the Masterlise series often promises and delivers quality figures, but this is a clear case where it fell short. I won't just trash the figure for the sake of it; here's my criticism:
Despite attempting to achieve a distinctive pose - Trunks grabbing his sword, akin to the Legends collaboration - it has a noticeably stiff pose (partly because it reuses a sculpt from a figure that was originally conceived to be more static).
The level of detail, considering the price, is disappointing. Even BWFC Varok's Trunks has more intricate details on his clothes and better paint application. The comparison between this figure and the MSP manga version is like night and day.
Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend this figure to someone seeking just a Trunks figure (given that there are prize figures like the Legends collaboration with much better detail at a similar scale), nor to Masterlise scale collectors. For the latter, I'd suggest the MSP manga dimensions since it received a re-release a year ago and offers superior detail and paint job at a fairly reasonable price.
Fair criticism. I don’t necessarily agree but appreciate your well-written response instead of just trashing on it 👍🏼 I still find this figure to be a superb and affordable pick up, but the MSP looks good too!
Super master stars piece is much better

His eyes are huge! Besides that and the very soft sculpting details, its interesting that you like this over the MSP trunks.
This was just a must for me because the competition msp is twice the price. Or the least $25~ more

Absolutely the first one I’m getting once they arrive stateside. It’s great I just wish the SS was a bit better too

Awesome figure i have the legends collab one but maybe i get this one also.
I didnt like the msp base because of the colors of his jacket but the ssj is great i have that one also.
Love the trunks theme from Ultimate battle 22..
Hikari no Willpower is such a jam bro. It definitely fits the character! I'll hopefully be able to compare this with the base form MSP in the future to give my final take on that!

I agree this Trunks is superior to the Omnibus Ultra Super Saiyan Trunks based on the comparisons you gave. I had seen complaints as well that the face didn’t look good based on the first reveal but upon seeing more pictures I think the sculpt on his face looks great. Now that we have both versions of future Trunks I hope that we get early teen Future Trunks and Kid Trunks. It would be good to get DBS Trunks too but they need to finish up DBZ Trunks before they do that.
ANY DBS Figures outside of Super Hero would make me happy right now

Tbh, the legends collab has no business being as amazing as it is and continues to blow other trunks figures out of the water.
Hands down the number one best future trunks figure on the market imo.
This one scales alright but looks kinda stiff and is overall meh when compared to the legends collab. Not so much bc it’s a “bad” figure, but bc that’s just how amazing legends collab trunks is.

I'm really disappointed with him tbh, its just the Dragon Ball Legends Collab but with less dynamism, less shading and worse face ( big eyes and weirdly sculpted cheeks on the kuji) The sclupt in general is just not that good imo.
I personally won't sacrifice quality for size. Saying this as a Trunks absolute fan.
It's better than the original tho by a lot it's like going from a 2/10 to a 6/10

The figure looks awesome itself and sure, he’s a beloved character, but it’s just another future Trunks..and just like Broly or Gogeta figures, another almost identical release.
At least with the hundreds of Goku releases they always find the way to make it somehow different.
If another Trunks was absolutely necessary, considering the name of this Kuji set they could’ve done a future teen Trunks in his white&blue Capsule Corp shirt to go with Gohan, instead we get another figure with the same identical outfit, just in a slightly different pose.
Definitely the most boring piece in this set in my opinion.
His mouth looks like a character from whoville. The only thing i like are the colors. They also fumbled with his ssj form.
Great figure but they keep making trunks look short. Even the Vegeta figure is taller than him or the same height.
