I don’t think Lima’s SD was out of fear , I’m pretty sure he was trying to grab the ledge !
AuzzPanda yeah the bump you get when you side b the stage doesn’t consistently send you in a proper position to grab the stage so he has to air dodge upwards toward it. Probably as he was holding towards the stage he didn’t input up before he airdodged
That is one of the worst feeling in the game

I think what they mean by fear is they believe Lima airdodged a little too early possibly because he thought Slaps was gonna keep up the pressure.

Bayo's limited kill options make watching her matches a lot more interesting. Feels more like overcoming odds than before.

@@user-sx4qu4dz9z yeah but I feel like a normal player finds those kinds of combos to be pretty good..also it's a tournament. Use the same combos as long you win. A win is a win even if spam is the culprit.
Yeah but he does like 50% in one combo which feels like a lot to me tbh

Nope, commentators are dead wrong lol. Bayo smashes lose to literally anything, my favourite is losing a giant demon punch against a jab1. Then it’s a free guaranteed smash punish on bayo cause of her insane lag
Ya know, Im glad bayo got nerfed but they didnt have to take all her kill power away like that
At least give her more 1 second in the witch time...its useless now
@@shoutdragon IMO, the biggest things that would make her better in Ultimate are giving her the combo flexibility she had in 4 back (In this, it's side b and up b, basically nothing else) without giving the off the top cheese back, make Witch Time faster on start up (It's actually not as bad as people think, she can get a guaranteed smash at about 120% on the opponent, regardless of Witch Time staling, but it has a mountain of start lag), and boost her frame data for normals (She's WAY slower than she should be - the only character in the game with a slower jab than her is Bowser, for example).
I think they had the right idea with nerfs, but went a little too far. They took away her OP stuff, but also broke stuff that wasn't that imbalanced for no reason. Curious to see what future patches do with her.

That is a complete solid argument i think that as well but since sakurai saw bayonetta raping ridley i dont really think he is gonna buff her even with only that....;-; i will always love her and main her tho

And maybe let her air moves connect into each other again

Fucking hell, Lima should’ve won that first round. Now you can see how many of Bayonettas moves aren’t only laggy, but just suck in general

No he was wating for ike to either jump nair to parry it and punish or jump away to catch with side b. He wasn't expecting suxh a risky option
@@cesars.9912 That back air was spaced well, I don't see how it was risky at all. He could've just as easily waited in shield for a block or parry, or better yet, push his advantage with his opponent teching above him

Bayo's special moves increase landing lag the more of them you use before she lands.

Real Pika the lag actually is just a visual decision. You can actually shield out of that animation a few frames after landing.
TaleofOrijins you are not understanding how lag works, they spam shield so that the second they are off lag they are protected and can then decide how to act, but you cannot “cut your lag by shielding”
LastOtter my bad. You can actually FULLY act out of that “lag” animation. This includes dashing, jumping, and shielding.
@@orijinl Bayonetta landing lag can only be cancel with Bullet Climax, Witch time or grabbing the edge of the stage , which are risky. He cannot cancel the landing lag by airdodging or aerials. The more special she uses, the more lag she'll land with. You cannot reduce the lag by spamming shield, jumping or dashing.

yung squa He And Captain Zack just held B with Bayonetta and just held the charge without actually fighting in GRAND FINALS of EVO, the biggest fighting game tournament in the world. Pretty big disgrace to the Sm4sh community as a whole and a bad way to let the game die leaving such a bitter taste.
Im stil salty at the time Lima disrespected Sethlon the roy main by taunting everytime he hit him off stage. smh, least roy isnt low tier anymore so sethlon is doing better.
I’m not 100% sure but I think the conversation after the first match was likely this:
Slaps: wanna go *insert stage name here*
Lima: *not paying attention*
Slaps: *gets his attention*
Lima: *answers but doesn’t look Slaps in the face
Slaps: *tells Lima to look at him when he speaks*

You can cancel your double jump into another Witch Twist and still have the second jump afterward.
It kinda sucks that Bayonetta can't kill, because she isn't good at everything else like Smash 4 Shiek :(

@@adamhawks3460 by consistent you mean they stop working at higher % and can be escapable even at mid %? Also fair doesn't connect and her hitboxes are too small. Ganon's up air is faster than Bayo's...

You can’t just throw out moves and expect everything to work.
You have to make sure our spaces properly.
For example
Up air into fair after double up b won’t always work. Sometime you gotta side b.
Adam Hawks The whole concept of the character is being a combo character right? But if you make that you can escape those said combos she just seems like a worse zss.
What I’m saying is based of videos or other people on the internet since I’m buying a Switch tomorrow.
Even without having the game I have seen witch times used for the first time during that match being useless because after the ending lag, when you can move, the slow finishes which means not being able to use your ability basically. It only works at higher percents against stronger attacks. You can probably go see this for yourself.
Anyway I’ll probably main Bayo like I did in Smash 4. Any quick tips? ^^
EDIT: about combos at higher percentage not working you can see this in this exact video where a, usually, part of a combo just launches the enemy away but not even enough to kill, just to not let you combo it.
